"Nice gardens surrounding the house/palace in an isolated natural place inviting to relaxing and enjoy nature. Only 30 minutes to Santoña and other attractions. Restaurant team very friendly but people at reception were not friendly not knowledgeable, so making some situations uneasy. Only breakfast and dinner offered at the hotel restaurants. Food was quite good. A couple of local small restaurants in the town. We likes Casa de Montaña."

"We had a nice large apartment with good facilities and very comfortable beds. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and helpful. However in our apartment the noise from outside and the adjoining laundry was awful. There really needs to be better sound insulation for everyone’s comfort. Although beyond the managements control the barking dog outside was most unwelcome for hours on end in the middle of the night."

"Tucked out of the way, Hotel Playa Bemón became a refuge for me from the hurly burly of both Santander City and the more conspicuous hotels in Somo. I enjoyed a magnificent two nights of perfect sleep. There was also the business of a delightful 30 minute ferry ride from a cute little slip just a few minutes walk from the Santander bus depot. All of this just totally enchanting. In the evening glorious sunsets from the beach at Somo, overlooking the bay and Santander. The Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. No complaints of any kind, really. On both mornings of my two-day stay I ambled over to the Somo beach and found surfers galore--there was an international surf meet going on--and delighted in watching them ply their skills on the waves. "catch a wave and you're sitting on top of the world" the Beach Boys sang back in the early 1960's. True to form here. I also enjoyed a fantastic dinner in one of the sophisticated eateries in the small town of Somo. Fresh seafood, good wine, excellent service. I highly recommend the experience of visiting Somo and staying at the Hotel Playa Bemón."

"We have enjoyed our stay very much: the owners Cecilia and Jose Manuel are amazing hosts. Homemade and delicious breakfast, safe parking included, AC spacious and well furnished room and other facilities offered like garden. We really felt like home away from home. Jose Manuel gave us great recommendations for places to see during our 3 days stay in the beautiful Cantabria! Highly recommend this location and will definitely revisit."

We had dinner at the hotel which was excellent and a good breakfast. The gentleman on duty overnight at reception was especially helpful when we needed some assistance.We had a good stay and would happily use again"
