"Adorable little garage apartment! The owner has thought of everything, right down to small towels for drying hair, a full stash of coffee pods in the kitchen, and super comfy bedding. Our stay was wonderful. Be aware there are stairs, but don't let that deter you. This is a great place to have as home base as you explore the Murrell's Inlet area."

"Dirty, nasty, disgusting. Staff was rude and the parking lot was shady. Everything was filthy and people were doing inappropriate things with each other on the elevator as it opened in front of my 9 year old granddaughter. Never, NEVER again"

"We had such a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! I traveled with my 8-year-old daughter and our dog, and it truly couldn’t have been a better fit for us. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed (and more) to feel right at home. The location was perfect—close enough to easily walk to the Marshwalk, and just a short drive to Garden City Beach, where we enjoyed one of our best beach days. It struck the ideal balance between convenience and a relaxing, tucked-away feel. Vandelyn was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. She even allowed us extra time on checkout day, which made a big difference and was greatly appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed, and welcoming place to stay. "Fantastic location for our golf weekend. Plenty of room for four couples. Loved that each bedroom has its own half bath - so convenient! Kitchen is large and well-stocked. Enjoyed all the communal spaces the home offered: deck seating overlooking the inlet, spacious seating in the family room, large dining table perfect for games, spacious outdoor entertaining area below the house - all good! We’ll be back next time we come to the area!! Thank you!!"

"The Surgshak is no shack! It is a charming costal retreat. The screened in front porch is so relaxing and inviting. My friends and hung out there all morning one day and my husband and his relaxed out there drinking beers the next. It is a truly dog friendly and my bulldogs were relaxed in this home away from home. There is a great trail just down the road that is minutes away and completely shaded. We enjoyed just relaxing in the very comfortable living room/furniture at the end of a day exploring. It was a very quiet location as well. The location is perfect; minutes from the Marsh Walk, restaurants, grocery, and whatever shopping you need. Brookgreen Gardens is only minutes away and worth exploring daily. The place was exactly as described, if you want a stale hotel room then stay in one, this a place to feel at home. I have no complaints, I slept on the couch only because I have different preferences than my husband who slept comfortably every night. The host Rebecca was great at communicating with us and the house was already cooled down with AC when we checked in. The house was very clean, stocked with towels and bedding provided. We had everything needed to cook and there is a Keurig and a small Coffee pot as well. If you like having a laid back vacation home than the Surfshak is sure to please. "
