"These are typical French apartments, not particularly spacious, but nice and generally functional. It is a fair walk into town - a good 10 - 15 mins. Our apartment was next to the road which although not busy could mean that there was quite a lot of noise at certain times of the day. However the countryside around is fantastic, loads of amazing walks and a great range of activities to keep families occupied, although they are not cheap. "We stayed here to be close to the Tour de France. Basic accommodations but having a kitchen is a bonus. You can buy fresh baguettes and cheese, etc at the nearby 8Onze (corner grocer) but it's a 15 minute walk.
