Unique place, easy to get in and lots to do nearby. The adjacent restaurant, M. Peppers was great. Very classic vibe, nicely decorated.

Room was very clean. It was spacious and modern. Would have added a couple of wine glasses or similar instead of plastic.

The boutique Bellwether Hotel is so beautiful and a step back in time. The art deco design, the second floor lounge, and the rooms all beautifully decorated and comfortable. Walk to restaurants, grocery, bars and antique shops.

Bellwether hotel stay
We were disappointed by our stay. The property uses fully contactless check-in, which could be convenient, but unfortunately, there was no response when we tried to reach out through the messaging service for assistance. The experience felt more like a self-service rental than a hotel, with no on-site staff available. Our room had only one window placed high on the wall, making it impossible to access the shade or let in natural light. While the property is marketed as an upscale hotel, it did not meet those expectations. Would not recommend based on our experience.

They took an old phone building and turned it into a new phone building. Everything is thru the phone. No desk, and consequently no service. When technology fails, no person to make it right. They don't return calls. And the TV is so smart that it presents an extensive list of programs you can't watch.
Be sure to appreciate the authentic broken chicken wire industrial windows and broken, cracked and patched polished concrete floors, because new windows and carpet would ruin the vibe. Particle board peg shelving from Costco completes the luxury appointments.
Great place to stay for hipsters who live their digital, virtual lives. The best you can do is pretend you get service. But if I'm paying that much, I'd at least like to watch basic cable TV.
Without service, what exactly is it you are paying for?

The coldest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in!
We stayed in “The Olmstead” in January and maxing out the heater couldn’t quite make it a comfortable temperature in the room - I don’t think it got warmer than 65 in there. I think it’s a combo of the concrete floors and walls with high ceilings and one small unit placed near the ceiling.
Otherwise a great room! But I wouldn’t stay there when it’s cold outside again.

Very pleased!
I took a solo trip for myself this past weekend & booked a room at the Bellwether. I’ll start off by saying I couldn’t have been more pleased with my stay. The hotel is beautiful! Clean lobby and clean & spacious room! The bed was firm but inviting. I slept like a baby. The only issue I had was finding close parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I drove around for an hour waiting for a parking space to become available close to the hotel. There was no one on site at 7 pm when I arrived, and my code for the outside door would not work. Luckily, two guests let me in when they went in.
The room had one little window at the top of the corner, making it feel like I was in the basement. The furnishings were cheap, and the floor was concrete. NOT cozy or inviting at all.

Was not able to access the property with the code they sent. There was an emergency number they had posted that I called several times and it would just ring until it went to their voicemail. I left a message, no call back, I left an email and and a text and there was no response. I even tried to contact through Instagram and still no response. I had an event I needed to get to and get ready for and ultimately after waiting for over an hour, I had to book myself a different hotel.
