Gorgeous house close to the lake

We absolutely loved our stay. We needed a place close to our house in Long Lake to host additional family, and this exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space for all, and quiet bedrooms in the back to sleep in away from the rest of the house and morning kid noise. It feels more like a boutique hotel and is decorated exceptionally with beautiful antiques and thoughtful design. We cooked a couple of times and found the kitchen very well stocked with everything we needed. There is not much to the neighborhood but it’s a quick drive to Long Lake and a few nearby towns. Absolutely loved it and would stay again!

Historic but not maintained. Don’t be fooled

It would have been nice to know the home had no air conditioning. The upstairs was over 85 degrees at 5pm and we had to wait til 11 pm for it to cool down. The fridge and kitchen was filthy and I would not cook in that kitchen. The owners had chickens and had over 20 dozen eggs in the fridge. The photos on line are nothing like reality. The place is historic and cool but clearly not maintained. For what I paid it definitely wasn’t worth it.
