"They used to have a complimentary breakfast. I would be nice to have that again. The room was very clean. However, the view from the window was not great. I appreciate the hotel for its historic value. One negative, but not the hotel, pointed out to me, was how desolate the surrounding area of Winnipeg was. Someone told me everything was closed down and that they had a hard time finding any kind of restaurant or store around to purchase basics.. Perhaps, the Fort Garry Hotel could have a little store that would sell items like aspirin. Even so, the Fort Gary Hotel remains a very special place."

"The hotel itself was nice enough, though it is old and could really use an upgrade. Our room had a very strong musty smell, either from the air conditioner or there had been a flood of water in the room. The front desk was nice enough to comp us for breakfast due to the inconvenience. The housekeeping room was just down the hall from us and there were always maids carts blocking the path to our room day and night. There should be a time where the hallway is free to walk with out obstacles."
