"There was no hot water in the room and the mattress was worn out and lacked support. I left with a back ache. When I brought the lack of hot water to their attention in the morning, I was told “yeah room # - doesn’t have hot water in the sink, you should have tried the shower.” There was no way I was going to shower with cold water. No price adjustment was made. The property has a beautiful view of the lake, and a quaint ambiance. I want to support local business, and I did not want to travel to a large chain hotel in Pembroke, even for a cheaper price. Overall, the Sands could use some improvements. For the $200 price, I was seriously disappointed. Make the trek to a better hotel for your money.

"Skov is magical. Every amenity you could ever need, the utmost relaxing environment and space and superbly clean and well taken care of. The owners are so responsive and the 2 minute drive to the ski hill can’t be beat! This was our second time at Skov, and we are already booking to come back in a few months. The BEST in the area!"
