"The photos and description are completely misleading. Photos are several years old from a realtor's listing in 2022 and apparently no upkeep has taken place since then. A few rooms were tolerably clean but there is exposed rat poison beside pots and pans, clutter and debris, half used food in the fridge and cupboards, etc., etc. We've filed a 9 page complaint with VRBO including lots of pictures asking for a refund. The 5th wheel was really nice too, slept like a baby. I think we turned the tv on twice. Tammy and John are extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful.. two genuinely awesome host! "The house and property were absolutely beautiful - exactly the way it was portrayed online. I like to make breakfast on our family trips and the kitchen was fully equpped imo. The only thing missing was drinking water but luckliy we brought a case of bottled water. The house is in remote location in a quiet neighborhood. It's a perfect getaway from city life. We were 5 mintues from the Aurora Ferry. We took advantage of that and got to see Bath, Bellhaven and Washington across the Pamlico River. We visited the Fossil Museum and came home with a few shark teeth that we dug up from the lot. I recommend cooling down at the Blue Crab Boutique after digging in the hot sun. The ice cream there is delicious and it is also a gift shop with an adorable reading nook. The sweet woman who owns it did an amazing job removating the building. We got some seafood at Frank and Shirleys and took it back to the house to eat and watch TV. It was the best sleep I've had at a VRBO location. The pier was my kids' favorite part about the property. "

"Lovely property about 10. minutes from Oriental, NC. This sweet home is on a cul de sac, next to a Marina. We enjoyed taking the kayaks into the main river where we saw Dolphins and River Otter. Our pets were very happy with a large yard. We enjoyed fishing from the spacious dock. When we asked locals where they swim - they encouraged us to check the waterway reports before swimming. After we saw a jellyfish next to the dock and read about the bacteria, out of an abundance of caution, we chose not to swim at the property or in the area. The management was great, answering all our questions. Checking in and out was easy! "
