Peacefull nest in Luang Prabang

Villa hotel very well located close to the main street, temples, and Mékong rivershore in Luang Prabang. Neighborhood is very quiet. The owner and his spouse were amazing, available at any Time, helpfull and so kind with the customers. I recommend that Villa hotel 100%

The owner was very kind and friendly. He let us check in early and on the day we checked out, he let us leave our bags in the reception and watched them for us. The downside to this place is its cleanliness and facilities. There were cobwebs, spiders, and other insects. The sheets and towels didn't look very clean. The bathroom was also not that great. I think I would have been okay with the lack of cleanliness if it were cheaper. The cost was mid-level, but the cleanliness was that of a cheap place.

Very cute villa!

We loved our stay. The location is so cute, and close to town center with night markets and temples(with the monk giving ceremony). The staff here is amazing, we were treated with so much kindness. We booked activities through them and rides and they had lots of information. The breakfast was light but also very yummy. The rooms are not very sound proof, you can sometimes hear other people walking above. But We loved staying here. Highly recommend

We've booked family room 3 nights with prepaid, but we stayed 2 nights. Because they've received double order. I complained it, they arranged us 1 night of other room accross the road. The host of Khoum Xiengthong was kind and the room was clean.

This property is in a quiet street, close to many restaurants and massage places. People working here are friendly and helpful. I booked a Deluxe Family Room with garden view as the photos looked beautiful and I needed a room to accommodate three adults. Unfortunately the first room given had only one window and was very dark - nothing like the photos. We asked for the room in photos but it was booked for the whole time when we were there. The other room on offer was lighter with more windows, but still downstairs (we expected that it will be upstairs). If you decide to book this type of room, contact the property in advance to confirm which room you will be allocated. Apart from this issue everything else was good. The breakfast is tasty with plenty of choices. There are coffee/tea facilities in the reception.

Staff are very helpful and speak nice English. The location is great that it’s near city center. Basically you can travel around and visit major attractions in Luang Prabang on foot easily everyday living this hotel. The environment is nice and cozy. Room is big, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is great. Koi pond and the garden is a delight and sth happy to see everyday. Totally cost effective and worth your stay!

Pleasant staff, family run essestially. Recommendations for tours need to be better as 2 places we visited were not appropriate. The pottery place is practically no existence and quality of products is worse then children's school products and we had to go over by ferry (safety questionable). Weaving place is expensive and essentially a place selling products and not for viewing of process. Driver is not professional, like dropping us at a nondescript place at some isolated location for a good loas lunch. We had to walk back to hotel and found him lunching near hotel. We had to walk to find our own lunch place in town which is not appreciated on a warm day. No seat belts for passengers. Better off to check in town.

Great smoothies

Staff was very helpful and friendly. My daughter left her phone in the taxi and the owner went out of his way to help us get it back. He was just as excited as we were to get it back. The ladies working there went out of there way to help in anyway they could. They returned my dirty laundry is just a few hours. They have great fresh smoothies on the breakfast menu. The hotel is on the far end of town and a bit of a walk to the city center but there are several restaurants within a five minute walk. . Tuk tuks were located close by.

Overall location was perfect and it was OK for the price. However we were not given the room we had booked (price difference was about 10 USD for the stay only, but still not pleasant) and service was very slow, especially for breakfast. Overall the owner has retired and his son has taken over, we can see that the property has been declining since.

It was a nice small hotel. The beds were hard. The room was spacious and we has AC and hot water. Close to everything that mattered. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was decent. Two musts in Luang Prabang are the the temple on top the hill in the middle of town and the Kuang si waterfall. The coconut “donut holes” are delicious.

Excellent Boutique Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Khoum Xieng Thong Villa! The rooms are huge and nicely decorated. The garden area is lovely. Service and breakfast were very good. The location was fantastic! It was located in the heart of the temple area on the peninsula and had great ambience. It was ideal to get to all the sites, night market, and restaurants and shops. To top it off, the room was excellent value for the price we paid. We would definitely stay here again!
