"If you are not a morning person, a stay at Lubec Cottage will make you one. Waking up to the sunrise outside the french doors of the master bedroom is just stunning! Our stay was exactly what we were looking for — quiet, relaxing, and much needed de-stressing. Hiking trails are 10-20 minutes drive away. Cottage amenities are well thought out and was much appreciated. Take time to read some of the framed items (ie article by front door, letters found when remodeling in master br).Note: If you’re a chocolate lover, stop by Monica’s Chocolates only 1.3 miles away from cottage!"

"We decided on a peaceful, far away, get away for our 28th wedding anniversary. We also needed accommodations for our dog. We found the "Mainely Cabin" and it was essentially perfect. This is a tranquil place directly on the bay. The beach is accessible by stairs. We are avid kayakers. I was planning to bring ours but discovered that I could use our hosts' kayaks. Perfect because the stairs leading to the beach are about a 20 second walk from the cabin's front door and the kayaks are stored adjacent to the stairs. We spent virtually all of our time, near or in Lubec or Eastport, out and about enjoying the countless outdoor recreational opportunities. The main bed in the loft is comfortable. Kitchen is well supplied. The deck is excellent. Washer and dryer work well. The stargazing is awesome. The water is damned cold. Seriously, bring a wetsuit if you want to swim or go check out Reversing Falls in your kayak. Highly recommend these hosts and this cabin retreat on the Canadian border."
