About this property

Cabin/Cottage on the South Branch of the Pere Marquette River!

  • Located just 15 minutes west of Baldwin and 25 minutes east of Ludington. Sleeps up to 6 adults with 1 queen bed and 4 twin beds. The cabin/cottage is very bright, cheery and spacious so ladies you will love it too. There are 2 fire pits and we have firewood available onsite at no charge. We also provide a full size charcoal grill with charcoal and a full size gas grill with propane. There is a 2 stall garage and a brand new large deck facing the river with plenty of seating and a fire table. In addition to the cabin being on the river you are situated across the road from 80 acres of federal land that contains additional winding river frontage for you to explore. If it's a rainy day and you want to stay inside we also carry a large selection of movies (over 300) and board games. There is something for everyone just pack your clothes, groceries and outdoor toys and get ready to relax and explore. Cell service is very limited at the cabin and there is no WiFi. Guest appreciate being able to detach from technology.

The garage with the covered patio and table chairs was the best. Plenty of firewood for the whole stay. 2 separate fire pits was nice. The lawn games came in handy to have and pass the time. The only "bad" thing was no cell reception. But really was nice to be out of touch for a few days. I definitely would recommend this property.

Relaxing retreat

We had a lovely time relaxing at the cabin. The boys enjoyed fishing off the dock, and we loved eating out on the back deck. The beds were all comfy and the view of the stars at night was amazing. We would stay again for sure!

Cabin Getaway

My wife and I spent a week here and loved it. Location is right on the river and ~30 minutes from Ludington. Property was exactly as described, and owner was helpful answering any questions. Limited cell service, which was a blessing to make it a peaceful week up North.

Family getaway

The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed. It was absolutely adorable. It’s location was exactly what we were looking for, close to hiking trails, kayaking, fishing and even not a bad drive to Lake Michigan for a beach day. We hope to return next year. Very Nice!

This is truly a superb property located on the South Branch of the Pere Marquette River. The new deck is beautiful, and compliments the open interior of the cottage. What a comfortable place! I consider this to be a great find, and highly recommend this property for your next stay along the "PM" river!

The cottage is very comfortable. Plenty of towels. Could use a fan in the small bathroom for ventilation. Dish drainer is awkward. Dishes fell out. Air conditioner wasn't very effective (maybe needs clean filter). There was a terrible storm on our first night and the power went out; with no phone or internet we couldn't see weather warnings. Due east of us at Big Star there were pontoon boats turned over! If a tree had come down, how would we reach the host? And if a tree went across the driveway, we couldn't leave to drive to where we could get a signal. That was the biggest concern for us. View and property is beautiful. We saw fish jumping, a mink by the river, and heard lots of bird songs. Decks were very nice, but the one by the river didn't look like it had been cleaned since last year. Thanks for the K-cups and coffee filters. May we suggest you put in a new shower curtain liner? Very nice garage! Nice neighborhood.

Quiet Stay

We loved our time! So much time on river! It was a really nice time to get away and unplug. Our girls had so much fun with the toys and books provided by the host. We kayaked at local lakes and enjoyed tubing down the river.
