The man that owns the place was born and raised in an animal loving family and his respect and love for the animals show through his interactions and knowledge. You can schedule a behind the scenes tour of the zoo if you call ahead. During this tour I was able to pet a porcupine, feeds goats, feed bananas to a lemur, and feed the tiger pictured. A great access to Shenandoah National Park and other local attractions

This is a very nice townhouse in a new and growing complex. Shenandoah National Park is minutes away with unlimited hiking trails. An extra bonus is the very close proximity to Luray Caverns, which is a Must See for anyone in the area. The host is very responsive and even provided an extra kitchen hen amenity when requested. In summary- a very comfortable, peaceful, fully equipped stay with a great location.
