Television stations wouldnt work. Limited resturant menu. Very rarely could i get a cold drink without ice. You had to pay laundry if you need ed to iron your clothes due to tje fact there were no irons in the rooms.On a good not the people and staff were very nic and friendly.

It’s a wonderful unique place. Very safe and secure!! The room is quite and clean. Staff are friendly and kind. Breakfast is yummm 😋 gym is amazing!! It’s unbelievable. Also there is spa on the side. Great !!👍

This hotel while conveniently located near the airport looks like the set of some apocalyptic zombie movie. It's really a very strange place with limited wifi access and it requires a bit of a hike though uncompleted sections of the property (with no lighting) to get to and from your room to the main reception/restaurant/bar. The only good thing about this place were the staff who were great. Lastly, beware of the airport shuttle costs. They charge K300 per person. A taxi costs K120 for as many people as you can fit in the vehicle.

I will not stay here again
I will not stay here again. Had no towels in the room. Had to ask. Aircon does not work. I asked for another room but told none was available. The toilet seat is loose and cracked. Its very unhygienic. There was no hot water. The wifi does not work and the cell phone reception is so bad that I had no network. Staff was friendly. Sorry but hotel management has no interest in doing any maintenance. Previous stays was ok, but this was my last time.

The staff members were great. Very friendly, approachable, and attentive. The campus is developing but so far I found that there were enough facilities to suit my needs. The gym had an abundance of equipment and I was able to stay with my workout program. There is a very nice bar and I was even able to get a haircut in the barbershop. It was really quiet and welcoming. I did see a few roaches. So, I hope that staff would consider pest control to eliminate them. However, it wasn't enough to creep me out. Overall, I would revisit.

Close to airport, nice place to stay!
My husband and I stayed here for 5 of our 20 days in Zambia and I wish we would have booked more for the price offered on Orbitz! It was clean, comfortable and quiet! The rooms are far enough away from the conference rooms! The place needs some maintenance but everything worked well, including the Internet which was the best we had anywhere else! The food was ok, I wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurant due to the lack of choices, but it was nice that breakfast was included. Wish I had taken pictures! It's a cute place but I don't feel the pictures they provide are quite accurate. I thought it would be much bigger than it was, but it's a small nice place.

The room was spacious enough, wifi very effective, hot water system very effective. TV channels were broad with good variety. The breakfast was among the best I have ever had in a hotel. Really diverse. Was delayed abut confirming my online booking and distance to rooms was a bit far, although not too far.

Construction to cleaning is terrible. Wont be staying there again and for the rate I paid, I consider it a rip off. I don't expect Orbitz to partner with such facilities.

You must check what the hotels offer to your company, It very sad to arrive to a new country , tired, and with a lot expectation from the information and picture you are showing in your web. REALLY VERY DESAPOINTED!!!!!!

Never stay here again, not as advertised!
Arranged airport shuttle in advance and when we arrived at airport, there was no shuttle and it took us over 2 hours to find a ride to hotel. When we called them from airport many times there was no answer. When we finally arrived, front desk was sleeping and it took a few minutes to awake him. When we asked about shuttle back to airport, they said it was unavailable even though hotel was empty. Very outdated room, only one not clean towel in bathroom, then banging from construction very early in the morning! Only great part was Given, who worked front desk in the morning, he arranged us a very nice taxi for our drive to airport!

Mika Convention Hotel & Convention Centre Review
I stayed for two days while on business. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious and neat although the bathrooms could use a makeover. The room service unfortunately is not up to scratch as the waiting time is nearly an hour.

the hotel is lovely and the rooms are big and spacious but the housekeeper manage has to do a through inspection in the bathrooms and the rooms especially under the beds etc, something of mine fell and went under the bed I knelt down looking for it I just left it there because of what I saw beneath there. The electric jugs are so dirty inside I couldn't even make a cup of tea I called the reception to bring a clean electric jug, after a while a room attendant came took the jug for cleaning brought it back to my surprise it was cleaned but the same stuff was still inside then I just left it like that. It even made me not to take breakfast in the morning.

For a start, room wasn't prepared when I arrived to check in and had to try a few different ones to find a clean room. Then one I finally got, had no overhead shower!!! ( military style showers!) and the wardrobe doors were broken. The Internet is horrible, doesn't work in the rooms. I couldn't wait to check the out. I would not stay recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great Hotel for Price Conscious Business Travelers
Take it from a 40+ year traveler in 39 countries, Mika Convention Center is well worth your visit and consideration on your next trip to Lusaka, Zambia. The staff is attentive, courteous, helpful, well equipped, trained, and highly motivated. The Center is still under construction, so if one is looking for a completely finished site, one would need to wait until July 2015. In spite of the fact that not all the little finishing touches are yet in place, the Mika Convention Center allowed me four days of productive work and restful relaxation. It is very quite (no barking dogs at night, loud parties, or street noise). My room was comfortable and had all the amenities I would expect of a business level type of lodging. Separate shower and bath, hot and cold running water, though water pressure needs to be increased a bit. Rooms are spotless. Fresh sheets and towels everyday. Room keeping did a fantastic job each day cleaning every surface I touched! The in-room refrigerator was welcome on warm days to cool off the bottled water house keeping provided. In fact, as much bottled water as you care to drink is complimentary. On a rainy day, the staff drove me to the reception area in the center golf cart. Guest rooms are about 200 meters from the reception area. I was amazed at the few mosquitos throughout the property. This was a good value for the price. A disclosure, I paid a promotional price through Expedia bundled with my air travel. I plan to return on my next trip.

Great Stay
I would like to thank the Manger of the Hotel, you are truly a Professional, I would like to thank Mrs. Sakala for making sure I had every thing I needed to make my stay more a Excellent one. Thank you Peter for the transportation to and fro. A Big Thank you to all the Chefs in the Kitchen, Thank you House Keeping for Cleaning my room everyday. Go somewhere else - it is not finished - terrible
not even 3*. No guests!! unfinished and bad. No lock on patio door & window in bathroom, anyone can get in. Air-con not working throughout the hotel. the reception area was impressive, but look - bad construction and repairs everywhere. Pool being built, no hot tub, construction zones everywhere - shouldn't be open yet, or offer reduced prices until ready. Unbelievably rude manager called saying that Hotels.com hadn't paid and what was i going to do. I walked to reception with my cases, which is a trek on badly made road to complain about the room (everything is unfinished or badly done) no shower or air-con. He said no problem and acted as if he had not even called me! new manager needed who knows how to run a hotel, arrange maintenance and be polite to customers I felt for the staff who are well presented, polite and helpful. They have constant complaints from guests. I paid more than the Radisson. $50 transfer to and from the hotel!! it is $25 for the Radisson and that is twice as far. Some of the staff are from the Radisson and InterContinental and have given up good jobs, for a hotel with no guests. dont be fooled by photos. It is truly awful and needs money spending and to listen and look at the problems when selling rooms at 5 star prices.

Hotellet kunne vi rett og slett ikke bo på, så vi vet ikke hvordan det var. Hotellet ble beskrevet som sentralt beliggende i Lusaka, med et kart som viste sentrale enheter vi kjente igjen i nærheten av Lusaka Fair -område, like ved Manda Hill kjøpesenter. I virkeligheten lå Mika Convention Centre langt ute på landet, utenfor Lusakas grenser, i Chongwe District. Vi kunne ikke bo der pga et tett møteprogram, og fikk lov til å bo på det langt billigere Mika hotel i Kabulonga i Lusaka. Vi var ERGELIGE for å si det mildt!!!! Mika hotel var forsåvidt OK som det 2.klasses hotellet det er, men langt fra det vi mente vi hadde betalt for. Betjeningen på Mika Hotel var OK, det var rent nok, men det var flere små saker å utsette på rommet -ikke femstjerners nei!! Dere må endre presentasjonen og kartet - vi var himmelfalne da hotellbilen kjørte oss ut av byen! Vi ble hentet og kjørt til flyplass som avtalt -det eneste som stemte med bestillingen.
