Excellent staff and great location.

The staff are amazing and could show some 4 star hotels a thing or two. They couldn't do enough for us. Very local to the High Street and shops. Lovely room.

Nice hotel

It was a lovely hotel, it was nice to walk in and be welcomed with a kind and friendly person, very helpful and made everything easy as we were at a wedding

Nice hotel close to Isle of Wight ferry

Old fashioned hotel rooms very clean and nice touch with Nespresso machine in room.

Bosuns Chair

Enjoyed my stay, nice room and good breakfast. Good location close to the shops and Ferry to Isle of Wight. Was able to easily park my car in the Car Park. Good wifi. Would definitely stay here again.

Never again!

This 'hotel' was VERY tired, in need of a lot of updating and renovation - bath panel broken etc. The Bar looked uninviting, so we went straight out after arriving. Our room was disappointing - 4'6" bed very uncomfortable. Towels clean and bed linen clean BUT ..... when packing up to leave, I opened a previously unopened top drawer in bedside cabinet - inside were a load of pills, a sticky Durex spray and other stuff, left over from a previous guest - initially I thought they were my husbands pills and his hairspray. I was disgusted and had I seen this before we went to bed, I would not have stayed there. I told the unsuspecting waitress when I left, and advised I would be writing a review like this. £91 for this? Unbelievable. The breakfast was fine but this hotel should not be included in your recommended hotels.

Heart of Lymington

Very comfortable rooms and great hospitality. If the sun had shone a bit more we would have loved to have used the lovely little garden for early evening drinks. Very good breakfast - not too much and not too little, everything high quality.

Clean & comfortable

Room was spotless & had a huge bathroom. The cooked breakfast was good quality, very tasty & cooked to order so nothing sitting around on hot plates. It's on a quiet road & we were woken by bird song :) Lady behind bar was friendly & made us feel very welcome. Pub overall could do with a bit of redecoration as quite tired looking but that was the only negative. Would def recommend it.

Great place to stay

Comfy bed in a nice sized room. Friendly staff in a pub with a good relaxing atmosphere. Good breakfast. The evening menu may only consist of a choice of pies but they are very tasty and a full plate. Nice location just a short walk from town

Enjoyable stay

Excellent service, very nice people. The breakfast was superb with quality produce. The room was directly over the pub and was generally quiet although Saturday night was quite lively for a while but it didn't go on late. The price was fair for the condition of the room which is in need of a refresh however the key thing of cleanliness was spot on, nice shower and bath. And a big plus is the fabulous location just 2 minutes from the High Street and Quayside. If you want a fancy room this isn't for you, if you want value for money delivered with a smile, this will be good for you.

great for friendliness, cleanliness and good breakfasts. room comfortable but pub closed lunchtimes and only pies available for evening menu. all staff great thouigh.
