Decent hotel with exceptional friendly service. Rooms are large and clean. Don't expect the Marriott. I have stayed here multiple times, I love that it's dog-friendly, staff is always so very welcoming. Breakfast is nothing to shout about... but there's coffee and juice and toast and a waffle machine. Eggs are powdered... Overall, a stellar deal for those staying in Altavista.

Check in was quick, room was clean and comfortable. We were in room 111 and the room above us had a dog and people who stomped and pitter pattered on the floor all night. I called the front desk at 11:00pm when they advised they would contact the occupant but it continued ALL night! Suggestion to staff: all guests with pets should be placed on the first floor. Did not get a restful night of sleep.

The staff were really nice and helpful. They are in the process of renovating so half the bathroom is done. They should finish the renovation so it would nice. The tv had some problems and very little hot water. The pool and breakfast was really nice. It could use some TLC.

Fine place. Obviously tried to do some renovations but it shows some wear. Staff was incredibly friendly. Convenient location to Liberty. Expensive on graduation weekend but all hotels take advantage by boosting prices when they know there's an event. They at least didn't do it as long as some respect there.

What a lovely hotel! Quiet, great shower with an actual working tub, comfy bed, clean as can be, and super helpful staff. Do not miss the breakfast!

It seems that they have cleaned this hotel up a bit. The front desk staff was very nice, I wish I had gotten her name to put her. She spoke everytime we walked by. Rooms were clean and comfie. The breakfast was great and the lady doing that was amazing as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful 4 days.

This is an older hotel, a a few blemishes on the wall but overall the places was very clean and the food at the breakfast bar was very very good excellent choice I would stay there again

Dated but they are trying

The experience was ok, cleanliness of the hotel was alright. Service was excellent. Hotel is dated and needs to be updated and lower level rooms are extremely humid even after the AC has been ran for hours. I had an issue with the bathroom getting flooded and it turns out a pipe became disconnected, they were prompt in resolving the matter and cleaned the bathroom and gave me clean linens. The only other issue is not with the hotel but with the guests, be expected to be woken up at 4am to 5am during the week as doors are constantly opened and slammed as the workers go to work. That is a common courtesy that I would have assumed would be followed but what do I know.

Spent the weekend in VA and stayed here. Everything was alright. The check in process was quick, they a cozy lobby, and straightforward small hotel. Service staffs are friendly as well. Cleanliness was okay, it was little loud outside with people celebrating for a graduation party, people smoking weed as well. The hallways were loud with children running around and screaming in the early morning and loud chattering from people walking by. You also have to be early for their breakfast because they are gone by 9:30, we have to ask kitchen staff to replenish some food there’s not much options to choose from.

I think the staff was great. The first night my toom smelled like gasoline. The second night was better. It is an older hotel so the furniture was dated and the room was missng baseboards in some areas. The remote did not turn off the TV and you had one remote for volume and the other to change the channels. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
