Classic Up North Log Cabin-Lazy Bear Lodge

The Lazy Bear is your own private getaway! This beautiful 3 level, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home has over 1800 square feet to stretch out in. This full log home is surrounded by 7+ acres of woods and located on a dead-end road with just a few other homes down the road. Please be aware that there is no public river access on Bayview Ln. All surrounding land is privately owned and not open for use. The whole home is beautiful and cozy and features a loft with a custom daybed and a walk out lower level. Beautiful handmade Amish furniture accents the decor.

Many birds & animals are seen frequently such as raccoons, deer and wild turkey. We have a great, private back yard for hanging out and stargazing. Want to stay inside? Unwind, lounging in the loft gazing up through the skylights while you enjoy reading your favorite book or enjoy the fireplace. There are 2 living room areas with comfy seating to pick from! A small selection of movies & games are also provided! All pillows, sheets, blankets and towels are provided. All you need to bring is beach towels if you plan to visit local waterparks or beaches.

This cabin was perfect for our family group of 9. The rooms were nice and spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to hang out and socialize in the evening. The location was perfect, nice and quiet and had activities for the teens outside. Would highly recommend the cabin and look forward to coming back again!

Wonderful Cabin!

Cozy & adorable cabin! The house is very comfortable & neat woodsy decor. They have everything you need to feel right at home and relaxed. Great location to ski hills. We had a wonderful time!

Great weekend get away in the Dells

We had a fantastic stay with our family to celebrate a birthday weekend. The home was very clean and comfortable and it was good proximity between the dells and skiing.

Spring Break 2025

Great location away from the hustle & bustle of the Dells, yet close enough to the action. Plenty of room for our family of 6 with 2 adults and 4 kids ages 15-21. The fire pit was nice to enjoy at night, kitchen fully stocked, overall great stay & would recommend to others.

Quiet & Beautiful Property

Manager did a wonderful job communicating with us & checking in with us while we stayed. The cabin was a short drive to Dells & gave us the serenity we were looking for. The camp fire & basketball court was perfect for the entire family. The cabin was very clean & offers several sleeping options.

Wonderful Family Vacation

This was a wonderful place for a family vacation. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. My wife always loves to go somewhere where she can get away from the city and sink back into nature, and this place has that. I would recommend this listing to anyone who wants to be in the Dells area and explore all that it has to offer but then retreat back to nature only a couple of minutes away.

We had a great time! the cabin had plenty of room for all of our guests. Short driving distance from good restaurants and boat launches. Sondra and Leon were very responsive and accommodating. We plan on returning again!

Winter Break Escape

What an amazing cabin! We spent three winter nights here - six teens, two adults and our dog. The cabin was the perfect layout for a group of the size. The kitchen has everything you would need. And the bedrooms are spacious and cozy. The cabin is close to Cascade Mountain and the Dells. Hope to return again next winter.! Thank you Sondra.

Up North Oasis

4 couples + 1 baby had a great time up north at The Lazy Bear Lodge. There was plenty of space for the entire group. Lovely location which was quiet yet close to so many activities. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

A Long Weekend Is Not Long Enough!

A wonderful place to stop everything and relax. Civilization is close enough if you need that - and for any supplies. This cabin is peaceful, quiet, and clean. I highly recommended an afternoon on the hammock. This cabin is a serene refuge that deserves at least a week stay!

Very nice cabin for 50th birthday celebration. Had to contact owner due to heavy mosquito presence and she took care of it the same day by hiring a professional company to spray. Nice property outside - kids loved the hammock and basketball area.

North woods cabin feel close to the Dells

We had a wonderful long weekend in the cabin. Cabin has everything you possibly need for a comfortable stay. Kids loved the little basketball court in the back. Even though the cabin has an up north remote feel it is only 15min to all major Dells attractions and water parks. Sondra is a great host - thank you for letting us stay in your cabin!

Enjoyable Stay

We had a great 2 night getaway! Made dinner at the cabin and had everything we needed. We all thought a hot tub would have been a nice addition! I would add that there were coffee filters there and now there are more! I would definitely stay here again! The front porch was a favorite!

Awesome stay at Lazy Bear

Great place for a sibling's vacation! We loved the cabin and its amenities...too many to list! Sondra thought of everything so we didn't have to! Any information we needed was provided well ahead of time. We loved the location...close to the Dells, Devils Lake, Mirror Lake and Mac's Stumble Out Pub for the best wings we've ever had! Would absolutely stay here again!

Great Stay @ Lazy Bear Lodge!

A truly fantastic property! Clean as whistle, great sized cabin, comfy beds, quiet neighborhood, loft and 2 living rooms (main floor and downstairs). We didn't get to use the fire pit, but it looked amazing, and there is a basketball hoop and small court in the yard, too. We ate in, and the kitchen was totally stocked with every pot and utensil we could possibly need. The cabin is the perfect distance to the Dells, which is where the event we were attending was held. We are already looking forward to next year!
