Winter Travel Notes
Winter stays are a cozy and memorable way to experience the mountains!
After a day outdoors, the fireplace offers warmth and charm, making the cabin feel like a true retreat.
Snow typically doesn’t linger long here—it falls and melts quickly.
For safer travel during snowy conditions, 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended. Roads are plowed once 4 inches of snow have fallen, though the driveway and cabin stairs aren’t regularly cleared—shovels are available at the base of the stairs if needed.
If a major snowfall is expected, I’ll work with you to reschedule if necessary—I want you to truly enjoy your stay and will do my best to make that happen.

You'll be staying at an elevation of 7,550 feet, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery.
The home has two bedrooms—one with a California King bed and one with two twin beds.
From the deck, enjoy views of Mt. Audubon, Thunderbolt Peak, St. Vrain, and Meadow Mountains.
Hike up the mountain behind the house and you’ll be rewarded with views of Long’s Peak (one of Colorado’s famous 14ers), Mount Meeker (13,916 feet), and many others.
Community & Outdoor Amenities
The community spans 600 acres of scenic land you’re free to explore, including six stocked lakes—all within walking distance of the home.
No Colorado fishing license is required, but a membership badge is needed. If you’d like to fish, I’ll provide a badge and can supply poles upon request.
Wildlife sightings are common, though never guaranteed. Past visitors (and our cameras!) have spotted bears, moose, elk, bobcats, bighorn sheep, turkeys, bald eagles, and even a mountain lion near the house.
Guests also enjoy a variety of recreation options: tennis and pickleball courts, a small basketball court, and a horseshoe pit.
The community pool is typically open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, though exact dates may vary.
