The property description on Expedia is incorrect. This tea house does not offer rooms with private bathrooms. Their nicest rooms offer an attached squat toilet with a bucket of water. There is no sink and no shower in the “private bathroom.” The advertised “hot shower” is a communal hot shower next ...

Beautiful, old hotel/lodge with character. All was clean, warm and cozy. Staff were friendly and helpful. And...great location/views of the Lukla Airstrip i.e. just above it.
