"Location was perfect for me. I have a strong love of horses in my volunteer work of 7 years in Pennsylvania. I love learning! Mother Nature provided a serene environment with birds , stillness, and a gentle breeze. Cottage was clean, comfortable and functional. So smart! Host was very responsive. I got to spend an extra day. So happy about extending my stay. Location was ideal for me. Horses did graze right around the property. Businesses/ restaurants were all very friendly. Very pleasant and helpful. Renters should be aware when they desire to have food delivered to property. Need to check all details with delivery service provider. Delivery will take longer and there are restrictions as to where the restaurant or service provider will deliver. ( i. e. Milepost# ). Also, possibly weather conditions. My stay was bliss. Cannot wait to return to Corolla. Thank you for a much needed recharge and a time to heal for me. "

"The Carte’s were extremely pleased with our stay for the 2025 Labor Day holiday. The house was amazing, clean and Phil was extremely helpful with answering our questions about the area. The best part of our trip was by far the wild horses and the seclusion of the Rusty Crab. We recommend booking a visit at this house and giving it a 10 out of 10!!!"

"Our first time on the 4x4 side of the beach was wonderful. The house is beautiful. The amenities were great! Alan, the property owner, and Kevin, the property manager, were fantastic and super helpful. They got us through hurricane Erin unscathed "

"Wow! Is all I can say! This vacation far exceeded my expectations! We’ve never been to a 4x4 beach and remote area quite like this! The location of your house set back from rows of houses and people is the most relaxing part! Seeing the wild horses every day, except one day, during our stay was a dream come true! Exciting nature and all types of wildlife surround you…deer, rabbits, birds of prey, raptors, frogs, hummingbirds, fish galore, turtles, all in your back yard (just to name a few!)! We absolutely loved it here! My husband and son fished quite a bit. We utilized the kayaks and the hot tub. Your amenities are too many to count and mention but know that they are greatly appreciated! Your gift bag and ornament was icing on the cake! Thank you! Your house was perfect for our family of 6. Updated and stocked! We want to come back and hope to make that happen someday again!"

"This VRBO rental in Carova Beach was exactly as described. Check-in was simple, the house was clean along with sheets, towels and blankets. If you know Carova Beach, you should be aware that the water will smell like sulfur. Be sure to bring your own drinking water and any other items you need because there are no shops after leaving Corolla. The power in the kitchen remains faulty, the only outlets functioning in the kitchen are closest to the refrigerator and stove, which was no problem for our stay. No high chair available. Classic coffee pot available! Please list that there is a Gas grill available! The kitchen sink would benefit with a silicone strainer; The current metal one stops the flow of water down the drain unless you lift it. Thank you, we enjoyed your home and our weekend vacation! "
