Pleasantly surprised that our room had a balcony. Nice updates. Overall great spot to stay right on the lake. The beds and pillows are so-so, but I slept just fine. Our family really enjoyed this spot! Excellent value and cost.

I had such a great stay at the Blue Water Beachfront Hotel. The view from the room was absolutely stunning — you can literally step outside and be right on the beach. Everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. It’s the perfect mix of peaceful and convenient — close enough to St. Ignace and Mackinaw City for exploring, but tucked away enough to feel like your own private getaway. My favorite part was waking up early and watching the sunrise over the water — it was absolutely breathtaking and worth every minute of sleep lost. I’d definitely stay here again — it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe, and just enjoy being up north. 🌅

Best view and customer service ever

I can not say enough good things about my stay. The front desk ladies were so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the view exceptional!!! I was greeted by the beautiful sunrise from my own patio. Breathtaking!! In my opinion the location was perfect. Close to everything without having to deal with the traffic of being on the “strip”. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

The hotel is in a good location. The room was remodeled but the furniture very outdated. The room had a lot of bugs when we checked in (mosquitoes and flies)

The Management was great. Looking forward to possibly staying there in the future. They were able to answer all of my questions, assist with what was needed and always friendly. The room was one of the updated beachfront two queen beds room. It was spacious and had a great view. Access to the beach was amazing for the warmer hours of the day. Everything was within walking distance of the hotel so we didn't have to worry about parking downtown.

Dirty washcloth hanging in room when we checked in, floor was absolutely disgusting. Pool house was closed. Staff was absolutely wonderful kind and helpful. Place was pretty empty so to put someone above us was unnecessary, they were so very loud. Updated room was nice, gave a cabin feel. View was spectacular. Mixed feelings on this place. We visit different cities for our anniversary each year.

Everyone was super friendly. Our room was in the midst of an update. The wood on the walls still needed sealed, but overall was clean. The bathroom floor did need a good scrubbing but there were no bugs or spiders anywhere. The balcony was beautiful (the screen was really torn up on the screen door but didn’t take away from the beauty outside) We would totally stay here again. It was beautiful and a perfect location. Not within walking distance from downtown-but a shuttle to the ferry was readily available and it was nice to be a little way as way from the hustle & bustle of downtown. The beach is private (for the hotel guests only) which is wonderful as well. It was so peaceful and serene.
