The balcony off our room and being right on the beach was wonderful. The room was very clean. All the electrical outlets in our room did not work so we had no working fridge, microwave or coffee maker.

Decent view but the hotel is kind of outdated and gross. In our room it looks like somebody just nailed some brand new pine over all the old stuff and left the old furnishing. There was no coffee cups so I had to use the plastic cups for water, our mattress was stained, and the AC sounded like a train running, not to mention that though pool area was closed off and nobody told us. The beds were pretty hard, not a huge point but I know I definitely need something a bit softer, and our room was filled with bugs.... Definitely was not worth the $375 that was charged for July 4th. Front desk staff was really nice.

The property was near Lake Michigan, which was nice for the kids to play along the beach. I chose this place because they had an indoor waterpark but when I arrived, the waterpark was closed for repairs. I would’ve liked to have known that beforehand and I feel they should’ve listed it that it was under repairs. We were offered to use a nearby waterpark at a different hotel with no charge. The room that we stayed in had been updated in some ways, but it was lacking in several ways. The bathroom area had no exhaust fan, so the room stayed very humid and the walls were wet. The faucet on the shower was very finicky, and it would easily go from hot to cold, or cold to hot during your shower. It took five or more minutes to adjust the water just so that you could stand under it, if someone used the sink in the main area , the water would change temp in the shower. We had 2 adults, 2 kids staying in our room and there was only one towel bar in the humid, damp bathroom to hang towels, also had no place to hang swim clothes from our one beach day and a pool day. Our swim clothes from Thursday were still wet on Saturday because the room was so humid and there was no place to hang towels. The beds are decently comfortable, the air-conditioning worked, they did bring us fresh towels, three days in, which was nice because our towels were still damp. This hotel is close to the main strip in Mackinac city and other restaurants so that was convenient.

Pleasantly surprised that our room had a balcony. Nice updates. Overall great spot to stay right on the lake. The beds and pillows are so-so, but I slept just fine. Our family really enjoyed this spot! Excellent value and cost.
