This sunny home in Historic Shirley Hills abuts a nature preserve & bird sanctuary for dozens of birds, deer & natural species. It features a game room, 3 large bedrooms, each w/ large, flat screen smart TV, 2 modern tiled bathrooms & numerous lounging areas! Fully fenced yard & doggie door in garage. Single level living area. Game room & garage accessible by stairs or driveway. Welcome & enjoy!

The whole home is accessible to guests except for two locked owners closets.

The upstairs main floor includes: foyer; kitchen; dining room; screened porch, separate office w desk chair, book shelves and file cabinet; covered open air back porch; living room; three king bedrooms (one with en suite full bathroom); hallway full bathroom; laundry area; and pantry closets.

Side patio with BBQ grill and picnic table is located down three steps.

The house is beautiful and full of sunlight. We travel with our dog and the host left the dog bed and dog food bowls for our use. We really enjoyed it!

GREAT GETAWAY FOR LADIES

This was a great house for a ladies getaway. We had plenty of room to spread out. Everything was in good working order, clean, comfortable beds, lovely neighborhood.

Amazing place to stay in Macon. We came for a concert which was very convenient to the Macon Auditorium. The house was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend ! Thank you to the owners for their kindness and attention to detail for our stay.

We booked early to avoid hurricane milton who was headed to our home in Venice. They accommodated our who family including fur babies. The home has a fenced yard and 3 huge bedrooms - it was all we needed.

Wedding weekend

Our son got married in Macon and we stayed here for the weekend. My mom stayed with us as well as 2 of our daughters and 2 grandchildren. This house has large bedrooms and great spaces to hang out and catch up. Huge yard and plenty of parking behind the house. Convenient to downtown Macon. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice home away

We booked this home from Thursday to Monday. It was quiet, cool, and comfortable. Having this house to go home to after a full day convention was a pleasure. Our drive every morning was highlighted by deer everywhere. They had no fear and were peacefully grazing along the roadside and behind the home. Would stay again.

Great place to stay!!!

Great place to stay. This was our second time staying here. It is close to our family we were visiting. The property was real clean. The neighborhood Is quite with plenty of wildlife. The only negative was we checked out on Sunday. We had to take all the garbage out and roll their garbage can to the street. We paid a cleaning fee for them to clean. Why would I have to roll the garbage cans to the street if the cleaning crew was coming to clean!!!

New Years trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sunny Bird. The house has a cool 60’s retro vibe and had plenty of room for us and our dogs. The real gem is the Shirley Hills neighborhood, it is lovely. We had no idea something like this even existed in Macon. It’s great for walking and the nearby Jackson Springs Park has a pretty camellia garden in full bloom right now. We came for a concert NYE at the City Auditorium, it’s a nice small venue. Downtown is thriving with all kinds of shops, bars, restaurants and we were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Business Trip

I was in Macon for business. Enjoyed being able to invite coworkers to the house to grill steaks. The home is great. Outdoor backyard is amazing. We saw a doe and a baby fawn. Also, there were a lot of fireflies. Highly recommend.

Property was more than expected. House was squeaky clean. Everything functioned like it should. Very cool house with big wondows to see the nice landscape. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was great. Would give it more stars if i could.

Simply Breathtaking

I love love love this home. It is beautiful inside and outside! You wake up to a breathtaking views of a family of deers and several species of birds. I love the hummingbirds the most.😊 This home was super clean and ample spaces to relax. We truly did not want to leave. It felt just like home. It was such a pleasure stay in this home and i cant wait to stay again! The owner was so awesome also😊. This is truly a vacation home!!! Thank you soooo much!!!

So clean, great location, wish bird feeders had been filled since property title is Bird Sanctuary. Says there is a kehrig and took all things fir that fir coffee time. But no kehrig, had I known I could have brought a different way of making g coffee

Home away from home! I miss it already

I usually dread not being home and being in someone elses space. Not this place! This is a place, I didnt mind cooking cleaning and doing laundry in. A place where even the little things made my day. The appliances dont yell at you but a sweet tune when it requires your attention. The view looking out the huge windows in the kitchen gives a peace that was well needed. The humming birds are so social, playful and friendly, my toddler and I made homemmade nectar and sang songs for them and they came to visit so often. Even when we werent outside they came to the window. The deer come to visit too and we left them apples and carrots. We saw so many species of birds and chipmunks squirrels and lizards made a debut as well. The basement can be grown and sexy with the lighting while playing games and enjoying a drink and allowed for adults to enjoy ourselves without waking our toddler. I saw white linnens and got so stressed but they clean so well and there was plenty of stain remover and a bed protector that gave me sound of mind. Its big bright and lighting can change different ways to match the mood and time of day. Theres a record player and speaker and me and toddler had many dances. The showers were so nice and i definitely took note on how I want my next house to be lol. Host was helpful and nice.

Nice large home and great neighborhood. Property has large fenced back yard backing up to wooded area with wildlife. Overall, this is a great place within 15 minutes of downtown Macon.

We were in town for a family wedding.The Home was very clean just worn down. The fenced in back yard was great for the dogs just over grown. Would have loved to use patio furniture but the patio area needed to be maintained better.Loved the king size beds and blackout curtains in the bedrooms. Could have used extra blankets on the beds.Kitchen had everything we needed!Also loved the big TV was great to have to watch football.Neighborhood was wonderful, enjoyed lots of walks while we were there.Thanks for letting us stay in your home
