"This property is quaint and just steps from all the restaurants and shops. The bed was very comfortable. The staff is so friendly and attentive! We asked for several items that weren’t included in our room, and they had them delivered very quickly. The Tap room on site is a perfect place to sit outside and watch the world go by! Bikes on site for free. Sasha and Richard stood out as outstanding employees, but all were phenomenal!"

"We absolutely loved Faraway. The rooms were charming and the location was superb. Whole in the heart of downtown, it was extremely soothing and restorative. The patio is lovely and the on site coffee bar was an added bonus. Having bikes , towels and beach chairs available was of immense value. We are already talking about when we can get back’ "

"Wonderful boutique inn in a fantastic location downtown. Staff were were terrific. We arrived early and they invited us to hold our luggage and enjoy breakfast. It was nice having breakfast included: coffee, tea, juice, croissants and muffins, fresh fruit, hard boiled egg and yogurt and overnight oats with fruit. A nice inside seating area and Avery nice outdoor area as well. You can have a glass a wine and relax there. Fire pits which we didn’t get a chance to use. We were in Room 6. It was clean and had comfortable and attractive bedding, but it was very small. So small we didn’t have a place for our two carry-on bags so we swapped out a chair for a second luggage stand. The bathroom, shower, towels and amenities were good. I would definitely stay here again. Aside from the size of the room, everything was perfect and again, the people who worked there made it feel special. Thank you. "

"Well, my friends and I wish there was a higher rating than 10 for this property. AMAZING from the minute we walked in the door through our 3 night stay. Newly renovated property. The staff is top notch beginning with Caroline, the general manager. She helped us take our bags to our rooms. I saw her helping others also. The lobby is fantastic, which was good for us as we experienced a rouge Nor’easter and was not able to leave the hotel one full day. We spent the day in the lobby playing games. The manager provided a cocktail for each of us. They have a lovely bar in the lobby. Although breakfast is not listed as included, they did have fresh coffee and tea and one morning homemade donuts provided complimentary. We were not able to take advantage of the bikes provided or the beautiful pool due to the weather. The location is perfect. We are women in our 60s and 70s and walked EVERYWHERE except to the airport. The rooms are as gorgeous as the photos posted. Nice linens, towels and beds. My only concern is if we want to come back, we won’t be able to do so ad this place will be booked full! If you are looking at booking, you better do so."

"Such a cute place! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I loved the coffee, water, and ice cream stations. They had many nice offerings for free throughout the day. The rooms were always so fresh and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. It is located right in the middle of downtown so you can walk to everything! Also, the ferry depot is right up the street! "

"The location was unbeatable and the hotel oozed charm with updates and attention to detail. Great decor, delicious little breakfast (the croissants were homemade and incredible, the juice freshly squeezed) and the staff was kind and thoughtful (there's a daily drink for guests each evening and when I told them I didn't drink alcohol, they brought me and my daughters a delicious non-alcoholic bottle....so thoughtful). Towels, beach chairs, bikes...they made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The only downside to the hotel was not knowing that the room we booked was below ground level with small basement windows that made for a pretty dim interior. The photos we saw upon booking show a beautiful room filled with natural light and the booking said "ground level" which is true in that it's a split level so the front room was below ground but the back room walked out onto a back patio. If we wanted some natural light and opened our shades, we were definitely on display to people walking on the street, so we kind of hated being inside, despite the beautiful decor and soft bedding, because it was pretty dark even in the middle of the day. If natural light and sunshine is something you value in your stay, I would recommend asking exactly which floor you will be on during your stay. I just get the icks in basements and a few spider webs and bugs in corners sort of underscored the feeling, even though it was cleaned each day and very updated and polished. "
