Staff were great, sleep was awful - constant light and noise from a nearby nightclub from midnight until 6am so I didn't sleep at all.

THE WORST service!The overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke was pervasive and intolerable in our room. We booked for 4 nights and checked out the same day. Upon our check in we just dropped our bags. We went to the front dest and asked for a king size bed. They insured us to be fixed upon our return. We got back around 10pm to find out the only personal in the hotel was the cleaning clerk who couldn't help us at the time. We also noticed the awful cigarrette smell and begged for another room since my son has asthma and we could not stop coughing. The cleaning/front desk clerk called some one and said we had to wait until the next day. At 11pm, my 7 year old and husband had to get our bags and checked out. They refused to a full refund and not even Expedia agents could get a hold of their personal!! There are plenty of options in Madrid and this place it might be one of the worst service.

There was no hot water in the shower. Place looks clean but with heavy humid smell. Towels were not in good condition. Place looks good from the outside and it’s in a nice area but we will not use it again.

Property building needs a serious intervention. Dirty rugs, dirty room walls, cracked paint, awful mildew/tobacco smell in our room. Air conditioning out of service. Poor attention from front desk staff except for handling our bags upon (Thank god) check out.

Great apt-hotel near Recoletos/El Retiro/Gran Via
Very convenient location right across from the Recoletos subway entrance and within walking distance to the Cibeles fountain, the busy Gran Via and the beautiful El Retiro Park. The apartment itself is spacious and ours opens up to a view of the street by the beautiful National Library next door. Very friendly and helpful service (they graciously worked w/us to leave our luggages there prior to our visit due to our travel arrangements) and they provided helpful hints on the area. Great stay, great hotel, great service.

Poor customer service detracts from an otherwise great location. Family room was nice enough but no working A/C… at least that’s what the employee told me (“I’m just an employee, if you have a problem contact our management “)… there was a portable A/C unit that we had to figure out on our own how to use (exhaust line goes out the window, etc.). I wrote a message which three days later is still unanswered. Finally, the safety lock box didn’t work and despite reporting it was never fixed. A bit of a shame.

El lugar super limpio y tranquilo, el staff es amigable también, pero la zona es espectacular! Muy buenos sitios para comer cerca de la propiedad, Autobús, trenes, tiendas super cerca. Recomendado, volvería sin pensarlo.

We had a huge problem getting to the hotel as pride fest was going on and the streets around the hotel were barricaded off so it took us an extra hour to get there so advance notice of this would have been appreciated. The location was within easy walking distance of attractions and with exception of the AC being weak, things were fine.

It’s a central area to other places, it’s not overly crowded. The limitations were very small elevators and no breakfast. The rooms are dated, needs upkeep. All in all it was comfortable.
