Very clean and comfortable cabin, well equipped and easy access ,close to everything, enjoyed the screened in deck and creek. Good communication with host.
Fantastic communication with the host - extremely responsive. Listing is accurate, cabin was very clean and well stocked. I do wish that the ice trays had been filled so ice was ready when we arrived since there is no icemaker, but all in all, we found what we needed. Bed was comfortable. The shining star is THAT CREEK! So special to watch and hear the sound of falling water.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. The location was beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. Loved that we could bring our little fur baby!
This pet friendly home is perfect for 1-4 people. The house feels fairly secluded, has an amazing deck and screened in porch, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook. Pretty close to trails, the blue ridge parkway, and restaurants. And comfy beds!
This property was perfect for our 5 week getaway from the heat of Florida. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch. House was well stocked with basic necessities to get started.
Cabin was clean, easy to access and centrally located for many activities. It was well stocked with all the things we needed. Loved the screened in porch with ceiling fan. Very relaxing with the sounds of the creek running along side of cabin. Owners were great to communicate with us and check on our needs. We would definitely return for another visit!
The owners put a lot of thought into this cabin. The amenities were great.
We traveled with small dogs and I felt very comfortable with them not escaping. That's always a concern. I would highly recommend this cabin and we plan to revisit.
I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The sound of the water from the waterfall and creek was medicine to the soul. The porch and outdoor space was where we spent most of our time. We had a great fire in the fire pit and the canopy of trees was almost like we were in a rainforest. Everything in the house was comfortable and clean, and the beds were divine. We will definitely be back!
Great little cabin in a beautiful hilly community. Loved the screened in patio! However, our group had 2 cars, both with motorcycle trailers and it was quite a challenge maneuvering them all in the driveway/carport area. Doable, but would not recommend. The driveway and parking area (besides the carport) were very inclined and had many pebbles, not ideal for motorcycles.
Spent 3 nights here 7/5-7/8/24 on a much needed escape from our stressful life. The house is so comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed.
Loved the screened porch with the sound of the creek to relax us, and we spent all our time out there, even though it was a rainy weekend.
The area is easily accessible from I40 and close to all kinds of fun things. The house is in a “neighborhood” that winds up the mountain, but it’s very quiet and feels like it’s far away from the real world.
We didn’t do much, but ventured to the craft fair at the festival grounds that weekend and snooped around cute Waynesville.
The owners have really thought out lots of small touches, like a super comfy king bed, bedside tables, lamps and outlets on both sides of the bed and comfortable living room furniture and patio furniture. We used the porch twinkle lights every day. Did I mention we spent a lot of time on the porch? Even got to see some groundhogs tussling one morning.
Excellent communication with the host too. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.
Great cabin with all the amenities. The host was very informative and responsive to any questions. We especially enjoyed sharing our vacation with our dogs! The location is excellent with lots of outdoor activities and shopping nearby. Great views and creekside as well.
My family enjoyed staying at this wonderful house. The beds were the best and hard to crawl out of in the mornings :). We loved the porch so much. Thanks for a great place and location to stay!
We were so fortunate to get snow while we were there. Also the day after it snowed we rode through some country rodes in Maggie and saw several elk. So for our 53rd anniversary we had a great time.
We love Maggie and have been coming for years... sometimes just for the day and other times for several days. This time, we enjoyed 3 days at Harold's Cabin! The screened porch with the light cool breeze was exactly what we needed to escape the heat outside of Maggie. The beds were comfortable. The space was ample for the 4 of us. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The available grill was perfect for our Independence Day cookout. We loved our stay and are looking forward to the next time we are fortunate enough to stay at Harold's Cabin!
Brenden's cabin was cozy and beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed and was pristine clean. The trip up the mountain was all paved and easily accessible. Yes there is a creek but thanks to Helen trees are pilled up along the creekside. We did have a fire one night, which is on a bit of a slope. We were so busy running all over everywhere that we were gone most of the time. Freezer wasn't making ice and was leaking. No biggie. I would definitely return for a fall visit!

The cabin was nice but extremely difficult to get to. If I did not have four wheel drive I would have not been able to get to the house. I had to call my mom and tell her she would not be able to get up the drive. So she could not come visit. The neighbor across the street was not very accommodating about letting me park on the side of the road. We were watching a movie the last night and the internet quit working. Not a good thing. We love the area. Just wish we had known about the driveway and internet in advance
I've stayed in a lot of places around Maggie Valley and this was a notch above the rest! Very nice and a reasonable price too! Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and clean. The kitchen, dining and living room were spacious and well appointed with comfy furniture. The porch and patio were wonderful and also comfy furniture. Best of both worlds with part screened in and part not. Also had a really nice grill, not the tiny, cheap grill that seems to come with most places up here. It is on a very beautiful wooded property which is quiet and private. Beautiful trees and the sound of running water from a nearby creek. Had great air conditioning and heating. Some places up here have no air conditioning and claim it is not needed. That is not true. The air in the Smokeys is very damp and humid and even if it is not particularly hot, it is nice to cool and dry things a bit with air conditioning in the heat of the day or while sleeping.Driveway is steep, but paved. This is standard in Maggie Valley. Helps to have all wheel drive no matter where you stay.
