About this property
Smoky Mountain Creekside Retreat - Private Cabin with Backyard Stream
Tucked into the heart of Maggie Valley, this peaceful mountain cabin offers the perfect balance of comfort, nature, and outdoor living. With a gentle stream flowing through the backyard, spacious front and back patios, and a fire pit set near the water, this is the kind of place where you slow down, unplug, and truly relax. Whether you're visiting for hiking, skiing, leaf season, or a quiet mountain escape, this three-bedroom, two-bath cabin provides the ideal home base for your Smoky Mountain getaway. The highlight of this property is the outdoor space. Step outside and hear the steady, calming sound of the stream flowing just beyond the backyard. The fire pit area near the water creates a perfect spot for evening gatherings — roasting marshmallows, sharing stories, or simply enjoying the mountain air. The cabin features both front and back patios, giving you multiple places to enjoy coffee in the morning or unwind at sunset. The front patio offers welcoming mountain charm, while the backyard patio feels private and immersed in nature. The layout is ideal for families, couples traveling together, or a small group of friends looking to enjoy the mountains without feeling crowded. Maggie Valley offers something in every season: Spring and Summer bring hiking, scenic drives, waterfalls, and cool mountain evenings. Fall transforms the area into a spectacular display of color, making it one of the most beautiful times to visit. Winter offers skiing and snowboarding at nearby Cataloochee Ski Area, along with cozy nights by the fire. You’re close enough to enjoy local restaurants, shops, and attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel like you’re truly in the mountains.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why are you not able to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs? Our cabin stays busy all year round, often with back to back bookings. Our cleaning team is scheduled and sometimes maintenance activities are scheduled in advance within the 10- 4 pm window in-between guests. We need that time to allow for restocking, cleaning, laundry and ensuring that the home is ready for your arrival.
How far is this location to…? It is located near the fire station (2901 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley), so map distance from there.
Do you offer any discounts? No, we don’t offer special discounts because our pricing is managed regularly and we believe that our pricing is competitive for the amenities and space we offer in this market.
What is the coffee situation? There is a standard 12-cup drip coffee maker in this unit. A starter amount of basic coffee, filters, creamer, sugar, and sweetener are provided for your stay.
Is this location a good place to work? There is private, strong WIFI connection and 2 workstations in bedrooms allow for comfortable remote working. We routinely work from this location with no issues. Cell phone coverage is spotty and it is recommended to use WiFi calling.
Can I get a package delivered to this location? Sometimes packages will be delivered directly to the cabin. However, Amazon and other online retailers sometimes use the local post office to deliver smaller packages. In these cases, packages are delivered to the owner’s locked mailbox and would not be able to be retrieved.
Does the property unit have a pool? What are the pool open & close times? The Twinbrook resort has an indoor heated pool and hot tub that is operated/managed by the resort. It is located toward the entrance of the neighborhood. Access is free of charge. The hours are Sunday-Thursday 9A-5P, Friday/Saturday 9A-9P. During the summer it may stay open until 9P daily.
Is there a grill available? On the side of the cabin, there is a classic charcoal grill (like what you would see in a state park) that is fixed into the ground. You can bring your own grill. There is also a large fire pit (no grill).
Is there a place to buy firewood nearby? Yes, several gas stations sell firewood and some private individuals sell wood bundles along the main road.
Is the road paved all the way to the cabin? Yes, the road is paved and the driveway is too.
