"This is a HOSTEL, not a HOTEL. So,
PRO: Súper friendly staff, big kitchen you can use, right in front of the beach, in the middle of nowhere. No people around. Perfect for a getaway with no cellphones.
CONS: Not the cleanest place, they don’t clean the rooms during your stay, staff only works during mornings so if you need something during the day it’s kinda difficult. The beach is full of garbage and full of sargazo which even if it’s not their fault they could clean the beach in front of the...

"Paradise and peace. We loved it at Margarita del Sol. Although, the drive from the town to the hotel, not the hotel’s fault, was really rough.
Please remember to purchase food before you get there as you won’t want to leave to traverse the road back into town.
Lulu is lovely and extremely kind and helpful.

"Definitely NOT a hotel! More like a hostel. Staff terrible, don’t think they have ever been trained in hospitality and customer service. Food was diabolical , we had a top room. Off-colour sheets, no blanket, no coffee/tea facilities, no fridge, felt sorry for restaurant staff. Don’t think there was a proper chef :(
Hotel was very noisy, you hear every step on the stairs, every child, every bang of a door, bed comfort was ok. Little piece of soap only in bathroom, didn’t change towels, it was...

"The view was nice. The room clean. The bathroom was not the best. Limited hot water and odd setup. The toilet getst wet every time you shower because it’s just open. Also it says there are laundry facilities but there are none. You have to walk a few blocks to a service that will wash for you and give it back to you in the afternoon. Staff was nice. "
Oceanfront Villa: Casona Palms on Private Beachfront
10/10 Excellent
"Casona Palms is a beautiful well appointed home in a special place. The hosts have put plenty of thought and care into their guests experience. From the moment I was in touch with Julie, the host, prior to completing the booking she very easy to communicate with.Julie went above and beyond during our stay. She immediately ordered us a stainless steel pan when we let her know one of the non stick cookware pans was scratched. Julie even ordered a Christmas tree and decorations for our daughters out of the goodness of her heart. It was such a lovely gesture and speaks volumes of how she cares about her guests and their time spent at the villa. She was in touch often sharing tips about current events in the area. The caretakers and their sweet pets on site were great and very friendly. Again, we had our expectations exceeded when they called to inform us we forgot a piece of luggage. They offered to drive it to us all the way in town. We both started to drive towards each other and Jose (the caretaker) met us half way on the road with the bag. He saved us a lot of time. We were very comfortable at Casona Palms. Don't worry about no a/c! The house is truly built with fantastic ventilation. The decor, the linens, the furniture, the fully stocked kitchen with things that mater like sharp knifes and cold water in the fridge for you upon arrival and the expansive private beachfront - all of it was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed in.
