Summers in Maine... Pine-cone Lodge on Sabbathday Lake

"The setting was absolutely wonderful. And the host was great. But the property definitely needs updating. The kitchen cupboards are not very clean and organized. There were a few dishes, particularly baking utensils that had been put away from a previous renter, that were dirty (greasy). I would also remove the Buddhist(?) idols from the property.Even though there were sufficient blankets for our crew of 4, we were scraping to keep everyone warm because the blankets are very thin. The bathroom door does not close properly. The clothes washer dial is difficult to operate. You have to struggle with it to get it to the correct setting. Even though the sheets I clean when we stripped the beds and put the sheets in the laundry room, you could see how dirty the mattresses were. I would replace these. We did love the setting, and again the host was great, but a good updating is recommended."

"We had a wonderful vacation at Nick's house on Crystal Lake. Everything was just as listing describes. The house had everything we needed for our stay with our 5 boys. We enjoyed paddling on the lake daily and exploring the area. It is a perfect location with much to do."

"Everything you'd want in a Maine cabin get-a-way! The cabin was perfect for our visit and exactly as described. Tom and his wife were excellent hosts and had thoughtfully stocked the cabin. The outside space was amazing and the views were perfect! We will definitely be back again!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our day! The beach was right out in front of the cottage, the house was really nice and comfortable. Peter was a great host and was available if you needed him. The location is great as it is very close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, Portland, etc.. We are hoping to stay there again next year."

"The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. A cooling system if needed. The lake is beautiful, no milfoil. The neighbor was very quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. Close to shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay."
