Swiss hotel Macassar

Mixed review for this one - check in painfully slow, first room booked was the sea view room. Seeing the view was made diificult due to the filthy windows - mini bar and tv didnt work. Credit to the management who upgraded me immediately. Next room was much better and the views terrific. Slightly annoyed with room service who hung up on me due to my poor attempt at Bahasa. Breakfast buffet and pool were good. Gym was pathetic. Would hesitate to recommend.

The hotel room was big and the bed comfortable. About the part that I didn't like, two points to mention. There was no soup and tissue on the lobby restrooms ( I went in two consecutive days in the morning around 9 pm). They had three umbrellas to borrow and the three of them were broken. Even if they were broken they stored them at the entrance and didn't throw it away.

Some issues were a challenge. When we checked in our non-smoking room was unavailable and we could only be moved to a non-smoking room after two days. One elevator was out of order leading to very very long wait times as the hotel was full and too many people for just two elevators. When we did move room, we have to stand a queue for 45 minutes just to get our new key

The Hotel is amazing. The rooms are great and you have a nice rooftop bar. Also the pool was nice and the location is perfect in the middle of the city of Makassar. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. From the hotel you can easily take a boat trip to Samalona Island. It takes only 25 min. I would definitely recommend Swiss-bel Hotel when you are going to visit Makassar.

Loudy experience at swissbel makassar

Bad experience. They changed my room and moved my stuffs without informing me. I realised only when I entered the room to find all my belonging missing. The room behind the lift is very noisy, the mechanisms of the lifts can be heard from the room. Will not stay this hotel again. Nice is good only if you stay high floor.

After complaint - top service

Check in was smooth. We liked the hotel and wanted to extend our stay for one night. Had to be moved to a different category room, which was fine with us. After being told two times they will call us back in the room and transfer us to The new room still nothing happened. We waited 2 hours in our room in the end got transferred to the operator where no one picked up the phone. After I heavily complained at the reception and requested the manager to explain that this is not how four star hotels can treat their clients, things started moving. We got transferred to the new room and a dedicated person from the reception helped us immediately with all further requests and questions during our stay. Nungki was very helpful in organizing us massages in the room (which were splendid!!) and helping us to arrange our tour to Toraja. Later in the day we got a phone call from the management who wanted to upgrade our room as means of apologies for the inconveniences. I would book the hotel again; rooms were clean and showers were warm. However, Swiss hospitality standards must be looked for elsewhere.

Hotellet var Ok og poolen var dejlig stor og kølig. Men personalet i receptionen, var fuldstændig uinteresseret i at hjælpe os, da vi havde en del problemer. Deres engelsk var mega dårligt.
