Lovely room. Windows made a perfect seal from the noise in the bars outside. The locks on the room doors however, were bizarre. Nobody in any of the rooms could operate them without several attempts and so every time someone in the coridoor opened their door, you were woken by repeated loud electronic whirring noises, until they managed to enter or exit!!

The hotel was a little gem. Its location is fab, in the heart of the historic centre, with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes all on the doorstep. Very clean. Carmen the receptionist was great, so helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for her. We would definitely stay here again.

A fabulous hotel in a beautiful location. Spotlessly clean. Soundproofing of bedroom insured a peaceful night's sleep despite being in a vibrant area. We struggled a bit with the lock on the bedroom door and were a little concerned if we needed to exit in a hurry? Breakfast was adequate but the addition of hard boiled eggs to accompany the cold meats would have been welcome!

A gem of a find!
Cannot fault the location looking out onto the Roman Theatre! Smallish room without comfortable chairs - but triple/quadruple glazing to keep noise/heat out of room. (Air-conditioning) Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

Fab boutique hotel
Fab little boutique hotel nestled in the bustling centre close to all The restaurants, bars, the castle and the teatro. Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast and clean rooms. Would definitely go back and recommend.

Exceptional value
Great location very friendly staff good breakfast Very good value for the price paid Everthing was exceptional only small issue we had was the sofa bed wasnt very comfortable and there was no sheets left to use it was late when we discovered this but we managed..took one from my friends bed .He went for an early morning walk and i used his bed which was very comfortable

This lovely little hotel is offering more than what you paid for. My room was ready before my arrival so I didn’t need to wait until the normal check-in time. The location is excellent, right in the middle of city Centro, it is close to everything: the beach, the Roman theatre ruins, Alaczaba, museums, the Catedral, all the restaurants & bars etc. The room is sound proof so no need to worry about the noise. It is nice, clean and spacey. The place feels safe due to the special door lock. Air-con was working perfectly quick, every day the room was tidied up and refreshed. If you are going to be missing the breakfast time, the staff will prepare a picnic for you. I will definitely come back next time.

We had organized a late check in we followed the hotel instructions for access but alas they forgot to leave us a key in the secure box . Not a great start 😭. Had to phone ah number finally got access. Enjoyed rest of our stay

Smart, small, clean and modern/new. Lonely Planet gave it an excelleny accurate starred review a few years ago that still applies. Breakfast is extra but good value. Not a grand hotel, but an excelllent one.

This hotel is fantastic. We got booked here as our original booking got messed up by VRBO and they arranged a night here. The place is small and just lovely. It is very clean and modern with all the amenities that you need such as hair dryer and shampoos ect. The front desk staff were brilliant and super friendly that we added an extra night to our stay there. It is opposite the Teatro Romano so in a perfect location. You can buy breakfast if you want but we opted to go exploring around. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely loved this place. Excellent value, even after paying just a little more for a view of the Roman theatre. Room was a bright gem of cleanliness. Staff were super-friendly. Location superb. In all my travels I've never been stopped in a corridor before by another guest who just wanted to say how great he thought the place was. He was right too. We'll be back.

Nice little hotel
Really nice little hotel in a good location. Excellent sound proofing so no disturbed sleep. Right opposite the Roman amphitheatre and very close to the Paseo del Parque so easy access from the Airport via the A Bus.

Located in the pedestrian zone super close to the roman theater and city museum. It is surrounded by dining options. We especially liked the large window which let in lots of light.

I love the location, right at the edge of historic area. The only problem was It’s Saturday night, the plaza was buzzing until late night. But I like the feels of the city burst with energy !!

Really Lovely and Comfortable
Really lovely little hotel. Despite the location being in a busy pedestrianised section of the city, we found the hotel to be quiet and comfortable. Our personal requirements for a hotel is that it is clean, well positioned, easy to check in and check out, and with as few interruptions from staff as possible. This hotel absolutely fitted that requirement. In the future we will look at Teatro Romano first for any repeat visits.

The hotel is lovely. Clean, comfortable. The staff are very helpful and polite. The area around the hotel is not so nice. Having stayed near the Teatro Roman, the neighborhood around the Barcelo just can’t compare. It is next door to the train station, which is convenient, but other than that, I’d never stay here again only because of the surrounding area.

The location is superb, with the Teatro Romano and Alcazaba at your doorstep! Very walkable to all the main attractions and shopping. Only 12 rooms available with simple nordic deco. Note there is no small fridge, min amenities e.g. no shower cap or toothbrush. The main letdown for me is the aircon is not cool enough regardless of how you set it to low temp. Overall,.value for money based on what I paid.

modern, clean, friendly helpful staff, amazing location overlooking teatro romano right in the cultural historical centre. Few mins walk to airport bus stop. Amazing , would return again. downside location was noisy at night if windows left open as room overlooks two busy restaurants but windows closed were very effective at blocking out the noise. Dont let that deter your stay at this hotel. Should be rated much higher than a 2.
