"Everything about our stay was top notch! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, spotless and well maintained. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable and the room temp was perfect. The breakfast was simple yet very tasty. The breakfast sandwiches were so good - very different from most hotels! The absolute best part of our stay was the staff. The check in was smooth and they were so kind and thorough. The morning we checked out, our car wouldn't start! It was -10 out and our battery died. We had to be at the college in 30 minutes. The staff called in help and within 10 min a kind gentleman helped jumpstart us! They truly went above and beyond and we will tell everyone about our experience! Thank you so much to the staff there. When we are back we will only be staying at Hotel Winneshiek!!"

"Host was very responsive. Extremely easy check-in/check-out. Quiet, simple and right in the heart of the town. Walking distance to everything. The stairs are very narrow and steep but there are handles and small landings on each floor that make it easier to navigate. Parking is in the alley behind the building but it was a very short walk to the main door. It was clean and perfect for a short stay. "

"We had an amazing, peaceful, and private stay—just what we wanted! The location was great and very close to everything decorah has to offer! The fall colors were beautiful and definitely showing off for us. We ended up using the air mattress to sleep on and that worked out really well for us as the back of the futon wasn’t very comfortable, but great for sitting! We were never able to find the trails that led down to the bottom of the Quarry, but that’s ok. We didn’t need to talk to the owners much but when we did they were very responsive! My only recommendation for improvement would be to have the portapoty cleaned out — it’s in desperate need, but we were camping at the end of the day and it didn’t ruin our tip. Overall we would definitely come back. It was the perfect weekend. "
