"Being so close to the wildlife centre, I saw more animals sitting on my porch than I did in the reserve itself. The food at the restaurant was delicious and staff were attentive. The owner had the courtesy of introducing himself and seeing if everything was fine. Rooms were spacious and the grounds were clean. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend. "

"I found Game Haven Lodge to be a very peaceful place. Even when the weather is hot, there is a lovely breeze about the the place. The location was convenient for me to explore Blantyre, Bvumbwe, Thyolo, Mulanje & Likhubula. Loved the game Drive. Weekends can be busy with locals which means you may have to wait longer for meals. "Reception was helpful in arranging a guide for hiking around Mulanje, but does not take responsibility for the guides or hikes. They just have a phone list and make the calls then its up to you to negotiate with your guide, which is fine. The meals were decent. Breakfast buffet with a decent set of choices. "It was alright for the price. The staff were very friendly and tried to make my stay enjoyable. My only complaint was that the mosquito net had a large hole in it. Other repairs may be expensive, but a new net doesn't cost that much. "

"Situation was ideal however very run down with a need for significant improvement such as painting repairs to furniture and safety issues such as replacing wooden floorboards, broken or missing window panes. Low water pressure in showers. Torn cushions in viewing areas and broken rattan chairs "
