"Staff was very kind and helpful. Hot tub was out of order and the pool was too cold to swim in so that was a bummer. It'd be nice to have an area outside to sit around by to enjoy the outdoors. There was a picnic table but it had empty beer bottles and lighters all over it."

"The cabin is in a lovely setting surrounded by woods. It's been nicely renovated on the inside, and we enjoyed sitting outside as well. One caveat is that you should only plan on using the loft if you're comfortable with ladders and don't mind only a few feet of head room."

"Nice place. It's a bit funky with the extra bunkhouse but for 2-4 people works. Everything was comfortable and as advertised. The doc area is small and kids cannot swim there, just FYI and you might need to keep your boat trailer at the ramp which is very close by. Not a hassle but just so you know. Everything said, we would stay there again - and the lakes are awesome, great for fishing and cruising!"

"This was our second year at The Lakeside and it was another great year. The great room overlooking the lake is really fantastic and big enough our 13-person group can hang out comfortably which is hard to find. The host is helpful and responsive and the cabin matches the listing. We had a snafu with the smoke alarm going off one night for no apparent reason but it stopped shortly after and the host quickly got someone heading out to take a look. No stay is ever going to be flawless but a responsive host helps make you feel comfortable and taken care of. Perhaps our biggest drawback isn’t within the control of the owner and host. The lake is really shallow out from of the cabin which makes it impossible to pull our boat in to the dock. It would be an amazing place for playing in the water especially with smaller kids. But for boats it’s not the best setup. The lake itself is fine for boating and tubing, just too shallow on the end of the lake this cabin is on. Too bad because the rest of it is pretty fantastic."
