We decided on a last minute stay after eating at Voro and it was a great choice - rooms were well appointed, service and staff excellent. Highly recommend.

great hotel, amazing brasserie, good breakfast although not great. main problem was despite asking twice for a late checkout, there was 'no availability' happy to pay but still no. online almost total availability. why not! just didn't want to.

Whilst the hotel is generally beautiful and the pool area is lovely, we simply cannot recommend Cap Vermell. The service was impersonal and lacking generally. You might expect some service around the pool but alas… When I spoke to reception to complain that our room had not been cleaned one day, the staff member essentially tried to place the blame on me, when in reality they forgot to clean our room. Our room leaked when there was heavy rain outside. We notified them of this. You might expect an apology when paying this price….but no. Requests for additional decaf coffee pods were ignored… The restaurants are at best average and charge Michelin prices (we didn’t go to Voro … which actually has the stars, as it is adults only). The Japanese restaurant was closed (we were not made aware of this on booking). The kids meals are heavily salted and don’t include any veg (even at EUR14). The room was generally unclean (the grout is grubby, the edges around the sinks have grime that is not cleaned off). Despite our issues, we were not asked if we were happy with our stay on check out. Nobody cares. To top it off, they brought our bags down but left one on the buggy. I didn’t notice as I was strapping my son in his car seat in the car and my husband was settling the final invoice inside. The taxi driver obviously didn’t see this as it was left on the buggy by the hotel staff. I am told it will be posted to me but I will wait to see if that happens.

Loved our stay at this resort! It’s perfect if you’re looking to escape the busy island beaches as you can just relax by the pools all day. A few downsides though - make sure you reserve your tables in advance as we were turned away from the restaurant one evening due to the kitchen not being able to handle more than 4 tables at a time. Also, they don’t display wet floor signs so be careful when it rains as the area around reception is very slippery. I fell and injured my knee pretty badly. The room was lovely, quite big with a good view of the resort. In room amenities are perfect.

I visited this property when it was Park Hyatt. Though the hotel, rooms and facilities remain the same, some changes are made as the furniture looked different and the overall decor. Through the restaurant staff were pretty attentive and polite, I think the check in folks at front desk need to smile more often. They look too serious and not very pleasant at times. Food was good and the breakfast buffet is great, but food choices are limited at the restaurants. One restaurant serves 12-19 course dinners which is too pricey, one closed when we arrived and the other 2 didn't offer much to impress. Our first night at the tapa's bar didn't end well. We ordered tapas and fish, my entree arrived, but my sister had to wait for over 30 minutes to get her fish dish. The server said we are short on staff and the chefs was managing by himself. I was amazed for a 5 star property that charges $500-850 a night to be short on staff. I can say that while most of the property remains the same, the service quality is nowhere near Park Hyatt standards. Also the rooms need some light touch as the sink in the bathrooms look old and the caulking around it was visible.....not very attractive.

3 star hotel not 5
This is NOT a 5 star hotel, more like a 3 star hotel. The only reason why I would give it 3 stars is because of the property, cleaning team, delightful breakfast team and the ROKA restaurant team. It would benefit if management at reception stayed at a true 5 star hotel so they know what kind of service they are expected to provide. Just read this used to be a Hyatt and from what I experienced they are still providing Hyatt level service which is mediocre but not a luxury 5 star at all. I work in the luxury bridal industry and will inform all my colleagues and clients to steer clear.

Overall, it's a pretty average 5-star hotel. My wife is vegan. None of the restaurants have proper vegan options. In addition, they were not accommodating at all to cook something for my wife. We ended up eating outside throughout our stay. They lack proper communication within their own departments. We told them that my wife was vegan at check-in. No one informed the F&B department. We asked for cutlery in the room. We ended waiting for more than 30 mins, no one came. Even the room facilities like shower is pretty average. Room fridge was not cooling properly. This was one of the worst 5-star luxury stays that we have stayed and would not recommended.

This property is immaculate. The service is top notch. The amenities are 2nd to none. The property’s is only 2 minutes from the beach. The views from our suite were amazing. I visited this property for an anniversary celebration. My wife loved this place from day one. We spent 5 days at Cap Vermell. We never got tired of the views or the service. The staff was more than accommodating throughout our stay and went above and to fulfill every request. I would definitely book again.

Tranquil and luxurious except for the mosquitoes
Beautiful hotel, beautiful location, incredibly quiet and peaceful. Fabulous breakfast and dining options. The room (deluxe suite) had everything we needed and felt very luxurious. Sadly we slept terribly for the full 6 nights as we had mosquitoes in our room. I had to virtually bath myself in repellent before going to bed which had such a potent smell to try and sleep with. You could hear them buzzing around you so to wear cotton wool in my ears as just the noise makes you itch. It was 30 degrees and had to sleep with the covers up to my neck. I am covered in approximately 15 bites which have been really uncomfortable and silly itching now. We reported it to reception and were given a plug in but in a suite our size it didn’t suffice so we had to ask for more, sadly we still had mosquitoes for the duration of our stay. This had clearly been an issue prior to our arrival as I found an used plug in replant in one of the drawers. We never had doors open and think they were behind the lighting screen behind the bed. On top of that the pillows especially and bed were very uncomfortable. So all round we had terrible nights sleep which did impact our stay hugely.

The hotel is a bit overpriced for what it offers. Breakfast was not great. Service was good but not outstanding for this type of hotel. The hotel has no direct access to the beach, which doesn’t make it super convenient. Good restaurant options on site but very hard to get a booking at the Michelin starred restaurant (and they wouldn’t make room for guests).

The property is stunning, it feels very private and is a great location to unwind and relax. The service however didn’t meet the standards or the money you pay to stay here. Not because it was poor, bad or unfriendly but because they were totally understaffed. Service was very slow and overall uncoordinated/misaligned. Would consider visiting again but I think I’d get better value elsewhere.

We had a truly amazing five nights at this property. While flying to Palma and then driving an hour to the other side of the coast may seem counterintuitive, it really was worth it. We will be back!
