Great location, in a busy vibrant area (we were there Friday/Saturday nights). The city has an overall calm mirrored by the hotel. If I go back to Malmo would probably stay again.

It’s unassuming from the outside, but once you get in you are greeted with such a genuine friendliness and then you get up to your room to find the modern and clean and air conditioned space and welcome chocolate! We were so impressed. It surpassed our expectations. The shower was dreamy. The place was so clean with courtyard and canal view. We absolutely loved it. Staff was so so nice.

A beautiful hotel with lots of lovely design touches, friendly staff and, in the room we had, a gorgeous view of the harbour opposite the hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and double glazing meant it was very quiet at night. The location was perfect for sightseeing and eating out in Malmo and so convenient being opposite the central train station. My only disappointment was that the on-site restaurant was closed for the whole month and I assume this is why there was no reference to breakfast being served either (as mentioned on the website). It didn't matter greatly, with so many brilliant restaurant and bar options close to the hotel, but it's always nice to have something on your doorstep! Nevertheless, a lovely hotel and highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Malmö. The reception team was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was spacious, spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable — I slept so well. The location couldn’t be better: right in the center of the city, close to everything. And for all that, the price was truly excellent. Highly recommended — I would happily stay here again!

A very unique stay

We had the most wonderful stay at this fantastic hotel. Our room had great beds and a bathtub in the livingroom with a unique view of the city. The room and the breakfast at Ruth has been one of the best stays for a very long time, and the employees were so serviceminded! We Will be back for sure and hopefully soon!

Loud location

We were happy that we could check into our room after our train arrived, around 10 am. It was nice that the hotel emailed our codes. The bed was comfortable and there is an elevator for luggage. You’re located right in the main square which meant it was quite noisy on a Saturday night and we were woken up frequently. There was also only one flat pillow per guest and the shower did not have hot water.

Cant understand all the positive reviews? Are they bought or did I get the only crappy room at the hotel? + Clean room + Friendly staff + Excellent location + Quiet rooms - Worn-out room – not like the photos! - Broken air conditioning - No breakfast at the hotel - Very disappointing breakfast - Expensive considering what you got When I made my booking, I received an email saying that the reception was only staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and that I would need to check in digitally. I booked the hotel through Hotels.com, where I don’t think this was made clear. The rooms on the hotel’s website look fantastic…! But the room I was given looked nothing like that. It had a wornout, stained carpet and very basic furnishings. The air conditioning was broken, which was especially difficult since it was 30°C outside. There were no blackout curtains, no refrigerator, and no minibar. Based on the photos and the price, I had simply expected much more. There was also no breakfast served at the hotel. Instead, it was served at a café some distance away. I was promised an amazing breakfast, but that was not the case. There was a menu where you could choose either a cheese sandwich with yogurt (with no lactose-free or gluten-free option) or porridge. After waiting 40 minutes (!!) for breakfast and watching other guests receive lovely scones and croissants, I was served a plate with a sandwich and what was basically just two slices of cheese.

Beautifully decorated room. Its a BnB not a hotel so no staff after 6pm.You get a code to enter after that time. Breakfast is in a restaurant a few doors down. Both these facts did not bother us and felt it was great value for money as perfect location 3 min walk from train station and at edge of historic district on pretty street.
