"It was very good the room was nice I only had 1 thing about the room there was only one plug which was behind the tv but there wasn't a mirror near it that was over on another wall so to do your hair was awkward. The food was good in the bar and we enjoyed the leisure facilities would recommend. We would stay their again if we were up that way."
"Hotel is in a good place to get into the city and if you want to go to the races. However, apart from that; we found it very disappointing for a 4* hotel.
We checked in at 9pm - got given the key card and told to go in the elevators and nothing else. Had to ask breakfast times and where it was. Didn’t get told check out time.
The continental breakfast is not good. You get an option of 1 item off a set menu - no substitutes/changes to the menu. Only get 1 hot drink provided and then have to pay if you wish for any more; same with a cold drink. Takes ages to turn up which on a city break isn’t helpful. The 2nd item is fruit but only whole fruit from a basket.
Windows in room don’t open and A/C does not keep the room cool so had a couple of hot evenings to sleep through.
Bed was well used and had a large dip in it. You roll sideways to the edge of the bed during the night.
We advised our “issues” on check out but were just told okay thanks for staying.
On a positive note the cleaners did a great job. "
"We booked a room with an accessible bathroom for two nights. There was no shower curtain when we arrived and we were told that ours was sent out for cleaning. Same story the second night and only offered us extra bath rugs to help sop up the excess water from the bathroom floor. They did not offer to allow us to shower in the hotel spa, but agreed only after we asked.
There were hundreds of dead bugs on the window sill, which the housekeeper came up to remove.
In the middle of the room there was a hole in the carpet.
This was a very expensive hotel and spa that fell far below expectations and not worth the cost in our opinion."

"Nice location, nice building. The hotel room was very comfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was a bit of a letdown. The kitchen kept on running out of hot food on the buffet."
"What a lovely stay, room was comfortable, staff were so lovely, breakfast was great with gluten free options and almond milk available too, the spa area was in great order."
