Lakefront Property Rental
Pro’s -View of the lake from the deck is pretty. -Spacious house plenty room for guests (we had our family & another family from our church who visited us for a night with permission from the owner & there was plenty of room). -All of the beds in the house were comfortable. Cons: -Golf cart/people/music/noise all night on the street in front of the house and on lake behind the house (we couldn’t sleep & we had a noisemaker). -The house is on the main channel at a turn on the lake with large waves making hard to get our kids off/the on boat easily/safely without a dock access. Crowded small boat ramp next door to house, no drop off dock available at ramp. The waves & boulders in this part of the lake made anchoring the boat challenging; We spent a lot of vacation time trying to anchor. Pulling boat in/out of the water each time for boat captain to use the restroom/eat lunch/cool off/rotate kids on the boat wasn’t feasible for us. -Cameras around the outside house, people can watch you in your swimwear. -Neighbors didn’t didn’t wave back & make you feel welcome here. Unknown person showed up on property while renting & took pictures of us without our permission. Owners text/emailing during vacation to requesting extra fees during stay. -Coffee Maker & Oven need replaced, not working well/intermittently working during our stay. The space is nice if your planning to hang out deck, sit by the bonfire, sit on dock. If your wanting to boat & get out on the lake with your f

Thank you, Roddy, for your review. We are glad your family and friends found the house to be comfortable and accommodating. We are advised by VRBO to address issues and or concerns with our renters during the time of their stay. For the very reasons you stated above (large boulders, large waves, and being on the main channel of the lake) as well as the Army Corp of Engineer Policy, is why the docking of your (or any) boat was prohibited. Hence, the text and email asking you to remove your boat from the slip and the fee associated with the violation. We appreciate your quick response in doing so. The oven was inspected on 7/7/23, prior to your arrival, and was found to be in satisfactory working condition, requiring no service or repair. We will check out the coffee maker. The outdoor security cameras are fairly standard practice in the rental industry and are there for the safety and security of our guests and property. While we can’t control the vehicles that drive on our street, it’s typically a quiet area, especially at night. We’re glad you enjoyed the bonfire and other amenities the property had to offer. Girls' Trip
This was a perfect getaway for us to unplug and enjoy a few days filled with fun, good company and good conversation. We brought our kayaks (hint: if you can, put in at the boat ramp down the road, much easier than from the boat dock...), we brought games and crafts. The property kept all its promises and more. On the one rainy day, the screened in porch was a wonderful place to hang out and still feel connected to nature. I highly recommend this place and would gladly return.

Great Mammoth Cave getaway location
This was a perfect getaway spot for our family to enjoy both Mammoth Cave National Park and the serene beauty of the lake. The house was beautiful, very clean, and had plenty space for us and our 5 teenagers. This is definitely a special place! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanksgiving Family Gathering
This place was perfect for our family Thanksgiving gathering. We sat around the fire and made s’mores, cooked a huge Thanksgiving feast in the kitchen, and loved our cave tours and trail runs in the national park! I appreciate both the indoor and outdoor spaces. As the previous reviews stated, this place was very clean and better in person than the photos suggest.

Beautiful home and location
We were so impressed with this property, the cleanliness and spacious home made for a wonderful stay. We grilled, swam in the lake and visited several nearby caves (mammoth cave twice!). Absolutely love the wood paneling, feels like your stepping back in time a bit but with all of the modern conveniences of home. Screened in porch and swings on deck were so peaceful. We would stay again and again.

Great place on the lake!
We felt like we were staying at a family member or friend's house. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts left us stuff to make smores, although we had already packed our own. The county is dry, so if you want alcohol make sure to bring it with you. There is a boat ramp just past the property. It seemed like there was always someone hanging out there but not too busy. The walk down to the lake is steep, so our calves got a good workout but it was worth it. The bathroom downstairs was really short for an adult, but perfect for our 11 year old. It was only me, my husband and our 11 year old, but the house is plenty big enough to entertain a large group. It has separate living areas and the downstairs bedroom/bathroom would be perfect for a group of kids. The beds/pillows were very comfortable, as was the downstairs couch. You will not be disappointed with this place. The swings with the view of the lake were the highlight of our trip!

Great place for hanging out with friends.
Great hosts - responded promptly to questions. House was clean and kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots & pans and hand towels and paper products. Beautiful view of lake. House is as indicated in the pictures. Would stay again. Went to Mammoth Cave, Amish Farmers Market and Kentucky Down Under. All a bit of a drive but well worth it.

There was plenty of space to spread out and have privacy, while also having plenty of common family space. We enjoyed having some extras provided such as corn hole boards, sunscreen, bug spray, s’mores fixings, etc. Tips - look for sugar gliders and king birds on backyard trees.

Nice remote location
Beautiful location with view of the lake. Loved that we could walk down to the lake and swim or fish. It is remote so not many restaurants near by. Only 20 minutes to a marina where we rented a pontoon. Loved the deck and porches. One thing to mention is the downstairs bathroom is smaller and “shorter”. So my two sons that are over six feet didn’t shower there. But the main floor bathroom is nice. And has a regular tub shower. The owners were responsive and kind. Overall a nice place to stay. We would stay there again if in the area.

Perfect for our family get away
This wonderful place was our home base for our family of 5 (kids ages 8, 6, and 15 months) during our trip to Mammoth Cave National Park. The home was absolutely spotless, spacious, well equipped, and obviously well cared for. The home sits on a beautiful property—My kids had a great time hunting for shells and rocks along the shore and running up and down the hill. As a bonus for parents: you can sit on the porch swing with a clear view of the yard. The towels were soft, the beds comfy, and the hosts were very responsive. They even left s’mores supplies for us—my kids were thrilled! One note for other travelers: the roads are a bit narrow and winding to get to the home. Highly recommend a daylight arrival time for your first trip there. Thank you so much for sharing your home!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! Will return again and again! Would buy it if it were for sale!
EVERYTHING was PERFECT!. The owners were wonderful and accommodating. Great communication. The property was super clean. Extremely well stocked. The location is AMAZING! It is at the end of the road on a spit of land extending out into the lake, so even though it is in a subdivision, it is like having the lake to yourself! Huge yard, fire pit, walk to the lake in seconds, tons of parking, tons of patio and deck space with lots and lots of chairs and tables. Again, tons of sleeping space with 8 beds plus sleeper sofa and murphy bed. Is a great location for family reunions with separate spaces upstairs and downstairs. Lots of room to gather and fellowship without being on top of each other and room to have your own space too. We were there for Thanksgiving and it was spectacular roasting marshmallows outside and playing football in the yard, but would be even more fun in the summer with the lake boat ramp literally a stone's throw down the road. I can't recommend this property highly enough.

We stayed here for three nights with family friends (four adults and four children between the ages of 4-7). It was the perfect place. The location is beautiful, with a great view of the lake. We loved the various outdoor seating arrangements (screened in porch, upper deck, lower patio). The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and everything was very clean. The kids loved swimming off the dock (be sure to bring Puddle Jumpers). We also followed the owners' directions to explore a local cave just a couple miles away--lots of fun! At night we night we made hot dogs and smores around the fire pit. The kids loved the wide array of movies and games available inside. Overall a perfect weekend. We'd love to come again!

Perfect Location for a friends and/or family getaway!
Our visit was an annual trip with a group of 9 guys (this was our sixth year). A few were unable to come this year, so we were down to 6, but the property would easily have accommodated all 9 had that worked out. The directions were clear and easy to follow, and communication from the owners was right on point. As other reviewers have pointed out, the kitchen has pretty much everything you need in it to cook and eat your meals in terms of utensils and dishes, which was a plus because we don't eat out and there aren't a lot of places nearby. The beds were all comfy and the layout of the house was perfect. The best part by far was the variety of views overlooking the lake. There were two outdoor areas - one upper and one lower. There is also the screened-in upper deck as well as the space below the upper deck that is not screened, but is covered and dry. Lots of comfy chairs on the upper and lower levels, as well as a corn hole game and some other amusement gear. The TVs had lots of streaming options for when it rains, as well as a large selection of DVDs. Internet worked smoothly. We did a couple of cave tours at Mammoth Cave and then one in Horse Cave at the Underground River. It's a bit of a drive to get around, but that's just the nature of this part of Kentucky, and that's part of the charm of it all. We will be coming back for a second round next year when the whole group can be with us before we move on to explore a new location in the area. Thanks to the hosts for a great visit!

Check in was super simple. The house was very clean and spacious! Nice yard and outdoor seating area. The very short walk to the lake was a little steep but nothing we couldn’t handle. The lake itself was beautiful and the water is on the warmer side which was great. The property provided a variety of water floaties which was fantastic. The lake is rocky and drops off very quickly to deep water. This made it hard for some of our littlest swimmers as we didn’t know and didn’t bring their life jackets. We improvised with some floaties and all had a great time. I highly recommend this rental!!!!!

Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at this quiet, secluded, lakefront getaway. The home is furnished with everything you could possible want to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen has enough dinnerware for an army, there are multiple porches and decks with tables and deck chairs galore. There are beds everywhere with plenty of space to spread out. I was with my son and 3 grandchildren, ages 8, 10 & 13. We brought our boat to enjoy the lake. While it would have been nice to tie the boat at the dock on the property, that was not allowed, but there is a launch ramp just down the road which made it convenient. We took advantage of the Webber Grill for cooking most of our dinners, played corn hole, and enjoyed swimming off the dock in the evenings with the multiple float toys and noodles supplied on the lower level. And of course it is a short drive to Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum in nearby Bowling Green. A great little find for a fun, relaxing, and quiet mini vacation.

Amazing Views of Lake
This property was beautiful. We stayed 6 days and it was worth every bit. The house was warm and cozy right on the lake. The view of the lake was spectacular. Wish we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place to families for a lake vacation. The only recommendation for property owners is the kitchen could use some steak knives it was hard to cut steaks with serrated silver ware that is the only thing.

perfect Fathers Day trip
We rented this home for my husband, father in law, and brother in law to have a weekend trip for Fathers Day. Everything was perfect. Excellent communication with my numerous questions too! Cant wait to come back!
