The condo is in a great location! About a 10 minute walk to Canyon lodge. The unit is up 3 flights of stairs so it was a bit challenging bringing our ski gear up and down. There were some issues with the hot water not working for the shower, but Natural Retreats was responsive and solved this for us. They only give you 1 roll of paper towels so make sure to buy your own as they will not give you any extra rolls. Overall this unit was in a good location and I would stay here again.
The place was nice and clean , i read prev reviews and looks like they added a stand to the tv in livingroom which is great, they provided enough trash bags . Don’t underestimate the stairs , you do have to climb quite a bit of stairs ,so we tried to bring up our stuff in two trips tops. They offer one parking spot. We had two extra cars which we had no problem finding outside parking for. Just a fyi - they did break in to one of our trucks tailgate/broke the cover. This condo is pretty deep in the complex so we were thinking it was prob another guest . So just be careful and dont leave your valuables, snowboards/skiis in car . we have never experienced such thing in all the years going to mammoth . We looked around to see if there were any surveillance cameras but didnt see any. Deff recommend the place if you dont mind the stairs. Nice spot.
We had a great stay, the property was clean and provided all of the essentials needed for our stay. We were worried about the stairs and ski on ski off accessibility due to reading the reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised. The stairs were not as bad as the reviews led me to believe. Also, walking up the backyard hill to get to the village ski back trail was perfect. We were a group of younger adults, but it was as good if mot better than the ski on/ski off access I have experienced at other stays. I would highly recommend.
Beautiful stay. Clean and great location, however was very warm in the room we slept in due to no screen being on that window - so we could not keep it open. I did notify management.

Nice little place!
Needs some improvements like a tv stand or mount the tv on the wall. Bathroom around shower area there was soap left over from the last guest. Pillows needs to be updated on the bed. Stovetop was a little difficult. Probably should have better direction on use of it.

Nice apartment, plenty of room. This is a 3rd floor unit on top of garage. 3 flights of stairs!!!
The stairs are a beast. 3 flights in 8,000 ft altitude was not fun. The apartment is clean, nice. TV’s are on the floor. Odd, however, simply moving the coffee table over and placing the TV on top is an easy solution. Not sure why the owner doesn’t do it. Unit isn’t the most up to date, but it was clean and comfortable. For the price, good value for Mammoth. Oh, previous reviews said no WiFi or cable tv. This is incorrect. The apartment has both!

Average condo but good location
We visited Mammoth in April. The location of the condo is great, walking distance to the canyon lodge. The condo is just ok. It has some updated feature and then some dates ones. New applicances but took us 30 minutes to figure out only some of the pot actually worked in the stove. There are water/ dryers for boots and gloves but we could not get them to work. The dishwasher was unplugged we plugged it in and then realized there was a problem, standing brown water. When I called management they said there should have been a note that it was broken and then were not sure when the new one was going to be put in. The code for the spa did not work, we did not try until the last day. I Think there could have been instruction left for applicances and the dryer, not everyone is use to an electric stove. Also when we had the stove issue it was at breakfast time. The office does not open until 9 and my call was not returned until close to 10.

Nice Comfortable Place; Beware of Ski-Out and Ski-In
The place is very nice and comfortable inside. Definitely not stuck in the seventies. The tapestries on the walls are a very nice touch! The appliances are newer. The unit managers were responsive, nice and helpful for the few questions/issues we had.
The living room TV and the downstairs bedroom TV are both HUGE and sit on the floor so they are a little hard to see from much of the room. There is no cable TV, so expect to be watching the selection of DVDs (good selection of mostly 80s-2000s movies with, somewhat oddly, 2 copies of a lot of the titles; no kids movies). No Netflix, AppleTV, etc.
The BIGGEST drawback of the unit is that it is advertised, without any qualification, as Ski-In/Ski-Out. It is going to be very uncertain whether you will be able to take advantage of Ski-In/Ski-Out. It will mainly depend on the weather conditions and your skill level. The Mammoth Ski Back Trail is what you will use for Ski-In/Ski-Out, and it runs right behind the complex, only about 30 yards from the back door of Building N that the unit is in. It is a fairly steep slope up to the Ski Back Trail and there is no real/apparent/maintained path to the trail from anywhere in the complex to the trail. It is more like Hike-Out. If there is snow you will have to try to trudge through the old tracks you can find in the snow from those who came before you, or try to make your own path. I would think anything over 8-12 inches and the hike up to Ski-Out really is not worth it because you will be sinking in and worn out. There had been a big storm right before we got there. I got about 5 yards onto the trail before I was sinking thigh deep into the snow (about 2-2.5 feet). It would have taken at least an hour and a ton of energy to get up the hill, so I ended up just walking to Canyon Lodge, which ends up being about 10-15 minutes.
Regarding Ski-In, the Ski Back Trail is not that easy to find on the mountain (it is about halfway down Chair 7 right next to a storage lot for snowcats and buses). Once I found it I was able to ski-in to the unit's building's backdoor. Again, you may be going through deeper powder like I did (or I could see it being pretty hard and crunchy if it hadn't snowed for awhile), and it is fairly steep, so you have to be a comfortable/experienced skier or boarder (not necessarily suitable for beginners and smaller children) to use the Ski-In feature.
