This is a hidden gem. It is located in a safe area of Managua and within walking distance to restaurants and bars (Zona Hippo). Parking is limited but your vehicle will always be safe. Rooms are clean and staff is eager to help and make your stay better. This has been my hotel of choice for the last three years and will continue for many more.
Check in took some time my reservation was not easy to find. I had been in transit for 24 hours with many problems with gate changes etc. The more I stay in Minagua I realize Los Pinos was the best for me.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. excellent breakfast included. And quiet! For the first time in three months in Nicaragua I was able to sleep without earplugs. walking distance to Metrocener Shopping Mall. Excellent Korean restaurant and Chinese restaurant nearby, and a gym is just three minutes walk away.
Personnel très accueillant et serviable, chambre spacieuse et confortable, très joli cadre et emplacement un peu loin du centre mais proche du quartier animé. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel

Shameful experience
I usually go to Nicaragua to visit my friends there so everytime I go my friends go and visit me at the hotel for a couple of hours, so there was a receptionist thursday morning which is not so professional she listens to her music so loud, so she made me feel so uncomfortable and so ashamed when my two friends (women) took me to the hotel after taking me to different places helping me to fix some stuff with immigration they were so kind to take me everywhere and help so I told them to go to my hotel stay there for a bit so we can later go somewhere and drink something, those girls were my best friends from Nicaragua so when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist denied access to them to my room, saying it was prohibited to bring guests inside of my room, I must mention that I pay for two people for my room so if I wanted one of them could stay with me, even though when I first did check in I asked do I have to register my guests as I always do at the Marriott, Sheraton or any other normal hotel I stay. But she said no, so she denied access to my friends even though they were not going to sleep there we were going to be there for for a little bit so I felt so ashamed with my friends there that we had to leave, that receptionist is not any friendly she never smiles she never says good morning or anything as the other receptionist that work there do. At no hotel I had felt so ashamed as I felt at this hotel I travel to Nicaragua every month but I'm not returning to this hote
The hotel is a small family run hotel in a nice area, it is very clean, the staff are friendly although not much English is spoken but we managed to understand each other. Only breakfast is served, there is no longer a restaurant, the bar consists of a fridge with a choice of tinned beer or wine. The pool is a nice size, and you can relax on loungers in the garden surrounding the pool. The rooms are a decent size the showers are a good size although the water pressure can vary. Overall a very good hotel for the money, not too far away from a few good bar restaurants.

Nice but slow
Overall excellent staff.
Location of the hotel was tranquil... but not well known by taxi drivers.
We have been to Managua many times but this is our first stay at Hotel los Pinos. We will always stay here in the future. Naomi and Michael speak excellent .English and were attentive to our needs and comfort. Quiet, safe, impeccably clean. So happy we found this small boutique hotel. Great mattresses and bed linen.

Solo traveler in Central America
Very quaint structure with inviting lobby and common areas.
Only secure parking for 3 cars, almost didn't get a spot.
Super fast wifi in rooms and common areas
Room itself lacks charm that the hotel has. Headboard was loose and damaging wall. 2 table lamps looked like dollar-store fire hazards, one didn't work.
Bed comfortable. AC very nice.
Very friendly/helpful staff
Friendly and helpful service. Clean rooms and quiet surrounding, with restaurants within walking distance.
My friends and I all agree that its great value and would definitely stay again.
I stayed here for only one night and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel has a small, pretty pool in the courtyard. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was tasty, WIFI worked. I experienced one problem, in that when I checked out, I was charged $12. in taxes and I thought that I had paid Expedia (isn't that what "taxes included" means?) I was disorganized as I was checking out; it was my first day in Managua, so I didn't get clarification on this issue. There was definitely a miscommunication, but between which parties (hotel/customer, hotel/Expedia, Expedia/customer???) Make sure you know. Besides that, it was a great place to stay!
