I had heard that this hotel had been recently remodeled and that showed. Made my reservation for a Junior Suite and when I checked in, they took me up to a small, single room. I asked if this was the Junior Suite and they called down to the desk and Found out it wasn't. They had to take me all the way back downstairs to the other side of the hotel and then back up to my room. At first the room had a musty smell but coming from Saudi, I assumed it was the dampness from the humidity. I was wrong. The refrigerator has mold all around it which I noticed the 2nd day. I would have checked out but hotels in the area I wanted to stay were booked solid because of the holiday so I just did my best to use the room for showering and sleeping (it was tough with the now recognized mold smell). I went down o e time to the lobby bar and was quickly (she tying there less than 30 seconds) approached by a female inquiring if I wanted a "massage." I declined and after a bit she left me alone. I was able to finish my drink and i avoided that bar the remainder of my time there. I can get passed that though as I am familiar with how many of the nightclubs or hotel bars in Bahrain hotels work. If the can clean up the mold overwhelming mold smell in the rooms, this hotel would be very nice but as a result, I would prefer the smoke smell in their hotels over the mold smell in this on for future stays. Especially since when I checked out, it appeared that my comments fell on deaf ears.
