"A majority of the rooms have outside entrances. I didn’t realize this and when I checked in, I asked. My original room had an outside entrance and I asked if there were any available with inside entrances. There was and she upgraded my room for free. It was very much appreciated!"

"This was an excellent stay. It was the right amount of modern. The room was very clean, very spacious. The bathroom was honestly immaculate. The shower? UGH, I am making it my focus to own the same type of shower head because that was magic on my sore back. And, it was so roomy, two people could fit easily and still stay warm and comfortable. Free coffee with all the fixings and breakfast, a big bonus. Restaurants are close by, grocery stores and minute-marts as well. Also a big bonus. The only VERY minor constructive criticism we had was the pool. The water was much chillier than expected. The pool room was very well heated. And conveniently, there was a rinse shower station and towels everywhere to keep us warm and dry afterwards. But yeah… that water was definitely cold. We still enjoyed ourselves after we acclimated to the temperature, but still, it’s the principle. Overall, 9.8/10. My husband and I did officially decide to stay at Hampton Inns from now on. They’re just right when it comes to hotels. "

"Clean room and friendly staff "

"We loved the spaces for our multigenerational get together. We had 10 teens aged 16-21, parents and grandparents. There was private space for everyone to enjoy. The private cottage was great for the teen girls; we enjoyed the workout space (which was a renovated garage space); biking trails were close by for off road biking for some of the boys. We also enjoyed nearby Gardiner and Hallowell (10min) for the cute antique shops, hiking, and quintessential Maine stores and restaurants. Only downsides, which were minor, are that the water was shallow by the dock (some places you can feel the lake grass while swimming) and we could have used more covered deck space outside with the amount of people we had. "
