"Nice newly opened hotel with very friendly manager and staff. It is situated on a hill with a spectacular views to the sea. Great big pool with sea view. There is a tennis court and even a nice botanical garden (!), which I enjoyed a lot! There were also some cute zorritos to see around the area :)"

"Great place to wind down, relax and enjoy life. Super attentive staff who is always there to help. If you need a few days to get away this is the place. Would definitely go there again if we go to Peru. "

"Bali Hai was like paradise. We had a bungalow two steps away from the sand and 20 m from the ocean. We could hear the sound of the ocean all day and night, the ocean breeze was soothing and kept us cool. The workers were absolutely fantastic helpful and acomodating. The owner was happy to share his story. The decorations and setting were super unique, authentic and amazing. All the facilities were impecably clean and the restaurant had a very diverse menu and were willing and able to accomodate...

"We really enjoyed our stay at La Capitanna. The view is amazing and so was the food. We had their pizza and the breakfast was great (specifically the bread). Can't say enough good things about the hospitality as well everyone was so nice and we really loved the dogs. They went on a walk with us both days to keep us company. "

"Best hospitality I have experienced, and I work in the hotels :)
Property very private and well artistically landscaped. Could hear the ocean waves at night to rock you to sleep with their sound :-)
Marian & Leticia and others were over the top with their accommodation; and making sure we were comfortable throughout the stay.."

"Hotel has 12 cats. Also 3 dogs, but more importantly 12 cats :)
Quiet oasis short walk away from noisy Mancora centre. Huge terrace to have breakfast, which was simple but filling.
Rooms are spacious and air-conditioned, with comfortable bedding. Big shower cubicle.
Staff is very responsive, my Spanish is not the greatest, so sometimes things got lost in translation, but we managed.
Oh, did I mention that the hotel has 12 cats?"

"Qema Máncora makes a strong first impression with its accommodations. The property offers a variety of room styles to suit different travelers; I can speak specifically to the suite, which was outstanding—generous in size, filled with natural light, and designed with a clear emphasis on comfort and ease. The bathroom, often an overlooked detail in beachside properties, was equally impressive: spacious, well-appointed, and more than comfortable for two.
Beyond the room, the property itself truly excels. Every meal was exceptional, with food that consistently impressed and cocktails that were as thoughtful as they were well-executed. Happy hour never felt like an afterthought, but rather a daily highlight. Service throughout the property was excellent, with special recognition owed to John, whose attentiveness, warmth, and deep local knowledge elevated the entire stay. His recommendations around the town of Máncora—from dining spots to nightlife—were spot-on and added a meaningful layer of authenticity to the experience. Brian also deserves mention for his consistently great service at both meals and poolside.
The pool area embodies the relaxed sophistication Qema aims for: ample shaded loungers, a laid-back atmosphere, and perfectly curated chill-vibe music that sets the tone for effortless afternoons by the water.
One important consideration for travelers is that nightlife is very much part of the Qema experience. Music carries clearly into the evening, often well past 10:"
