5 Stars from me. This is an excellent place located very close to the University of Santo Tomas (where I needed to be). It was my second visit, as I consider that the overall value, for the price paid, is superb. Very clean rooms - adequate for purpose. The staff at reception are lovely and always willing to help. Security guards are efficient, professional and extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travelers. If only they could improve the quality of the Wi-Fi in the rooms it would be perfect. I would happily pay a bit more for good room WiFi. Having said that, the Wi-Fi in the Lobby is excellent, so I downloaded Netflix Films in the Lobby, to watch in my room. Thanks again Oriental Zen for an exceptionally good value experience.

An amazing city hotel

My stay was amazing !! The hotel is in a really good location meaning that getting a grab to tourist attractions is really cheap. The staff on the reception desk were so helpful and also allowed me to get an early check in to my room after getting a night flight to Manila. The room was very comfortable. The wifi unfortunately doesn’t reach the rooms but that wasn’t really an issue for me. The only other thing I would mention is that the address of the hotel given is actually across the road from the hotel so don’t be alarmed if you get a taxi to the address and can’t see the hotel - it’s a little further up the road on the other side but very easy to see.

Remodelling of the property is needed. Bigger bathrooms with AC. I didn't have a window & my circadian rhythym was getting messed up. Would be best if the whole place moved to another location because it's in a terrible spot. No dining options. They would not let me check in 2 hrs ahead of time even though the room was ready. Terrible. Phils is not now I had to go around to pass time & come back to check in... 😐😏 The staff was nice but the room was not.

Please do not believe about their parking. It says on their booking “parking included” but my niece and nephew were told that they have to park on the street and need to pay 100 pesos for tanod fee.

You get what you pay for

I didn’t expect much from the hotel, since I only needed a place to stay in the area. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I noticed that the lobby didn’t have any airconditioning. When I got to my room, the furnishing was very basic, with crooked cabinet doors and creaking headboard. There was a toothbrush packaging left at the base of the sink maybe from a previous occupant. Air-conditioning was a window-type model, which was working well, but couldn’t handle the heat coming in from the windows spaces (not insulated). The ad said there would be a Queen-sized bed, but I was surprised to see 2 single beds joined together. I hurt my knee on the wooden bed frame in between the beds. The wifi was almost non-existent. I actually chose this hotel over another one because they claimed there was free in-room wifi.

Such a modern feel to the building. The rooms were big enough with a good size wardrobe and cupboard space to store food and drinks. Housekeeping did a great job, and breakfast was delivered warm and on time.

Nice location close to huge SM Lazaro shopping mall w/big supermarket, food court, ETC, biggest Quiapo and Divisoria markets. Super clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Impressed by high quality staff servicing needs and interests of every client, helping to find directions, recommended favorite landmarks, point of interests, any special needs. Especially friendly, attentive and helpful Reynalyn and Aylin. Hotel owner checking and working on satisfaction of each client, solving any questions and problems in timely manner. Excellent working amenities like kitchen, A/C, restroom, ETC. I'd recommend this beautiful hotel to anybody looking for comfort and great services.
