Home from home in the sun
The apartment is in the centre of Duquesa, near the marina, beach and supermarket. Great communication from Richard, easy to book and easy to check out. Good pool with loungers and great terrace.

Room for improvement.
We stayed in the apartment for 10 nights in August 2023. It's in a great location, with use of a lovely pool and there was never an issue finding sunbeds near the pool. It's a large apartment with a beautiful sun terrace and the interior has nice, modern furniture. Unfortunately there were some issues that adversely affected our stay. The whole apartment needs a deep clean. We had to mop the entire floor on the first day. We also had to wash the pillow protectors. They were stained and smelt of sweat! The windows were ill-fitting, most were not lockable except for the outside shutters that we had to keep shutting each we left the apartment. There was a safe in the wardrobe which would have been nice to use. However, it was broken and we were informed that it had been for many years. There is a lot of noise from outside, especially late at night & early in the morning (traffic, the shutters on the underground car park and people waiting for taxis at the taxi rank opposite.) This might not have been as noticeable if the windows were better fitting. There are two showers. However, the shower cubicle was not usable due to a dirty, blocked shower head so the water was reduced to a trickle. I did try to sort this myself with some lime scale remover. But it didn’t improve. It was advertised with whirlpool bath in the ensuite bathroom but again this had mould & dirt in the jets. The kitchen needs restocking with simple items such as small bowls for cereal and glasses for juice.

I find this review very strange, firstly the week following Damians stay we received a 5 star review from and different guest and aside of cleaning and laundry the apartment was exactly the same (do check the reviews), secondly I had left the apartment the day before Damian arrived, having stayed in the apartment for 8 days with my family, so I was very aware of the exact condition of the apartment when I left which I've detailed below, added to that none of the issues highlighted in the review were mentioned during or at the end of the stay... It's a very unusual review. All the bedding and towels were replaced in July, there are two sets and one is always being washed and prepared for the next guest. The location of the apartment is one of the reasons the apartment so popular and people young and old come back every year because of it, if someone wanted to book a totally quiet apartment why would they book one 50m from the marina? I'd really love to be able to post a picture in this reply of the cupboard in the kitchen with all the glasses, there are so many, of all different shapes and sizes, probably more than 25 overall, the cupboard is completely full and it's not a small cupboard. The second shower does work absolutely fine, my son used it most days during our stay, additionally each window does have its own lock, again I'd love to post a picture, we had them all professionally installed a number of years ago, so that also doesn't make any sense. I bathed in the whirlpool bath 3 days prior to Damian's arrival and there was no mould on it then, the apartment is thoroughly cleaned between each guest so this statement is also very strange. I could continue, but I'm not sure what would be of any benefit, I really just wonder the motivation for this review. We very very much welcome positive and negative feedback to improve every guests stay, and are always very reactive to guests if anything isn't working correctly or there is a problem, however it's difficult to react to this review. Damian obviously chose for whatever reason to stay in the apartment and not to communicate with either Karen who looks after the apartment, or with me via Vrbo.

Great spot!!!
Our experience was fabulous!!! Hosts were amazing!!! Location can not be beat!!! The building and pool area are super clean. Underground parking was very secure and also clean. Everything you need is in walking distance. The apartment itself is lovely. Very comfortable but is certainly in need of a deep clean. We were there for a month. And, have booked again for next year. The area is very friendly and we felt very safe walking at night. I would not hesitate in booking this apartment

Mikonos Playa Duquessa Stay
Property location was excellent with a 1 minute walk to Marina and bars and restaurants. Property itself was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay with the bonus of the huge terrace furnished with sunbeds and a patio table. The pool area was very pleasant and clean, only thing required around the apartments is a fresh lock of paint otherwise brilliant and would use again.

Best terrace in Duquesa!
We spent a week in Richard’s apartment for our first family holiday with 2 under 2 babies, and it was perfect! House was spotless, tastefully decorated and with a lovely bright living space, it had everything we needed. The terrace is the perfect family space, our babies spent all day playing safely outside, loving every minute. Richard was prompt and very helpful at responding to my many questions before our arrival. Location was the best you could get, 1 minute walk to beachfront and 1 minute to the port. Thanks again, this apartment and holiday will always bring happy memories!

Perfect Easter weekend getaway !
We arrived at Malaga airport at around 11pm. The taxi ride took around 1hr 15mins to get to the apartment. Even though it was incredibly late, Karen still met outside of the apartment and showed us around answering all of our questions. The apartment couldn’t have been in a better location! The shop opposite is open 365 days a year from 9am to 9pm, the beach was 50m away and the bars and restaurants were open from 9am to midnight - everything was right on the doorstep! No taxi or car needed! The terrace was perfect! We watched the sun rise in the morning and set at night. We lucked in with the weather whilst we were there and even had to put the air conditioning on on the Sunday as temperatures hit 29 degrees! The brand new sun loungers were lovely. Would I return again - absolutely! My friends and I even looked at buying a villa in the area as it was such a little hidden gem. Recommendations - it would have been great to have use of the safe. There was one in the apartment but Karen informed us it was broken. Looking to book the apartment again soon. A perfect few days away. Couldn’t have been happier.

One month @ #1 Mikonos
We thoroughly enjoyed our full month in Puerto de Las Duchesa. The apartment is gorgeous is and is in a perfect location, traffic even if nearby is not loud at all. The huge patio is a bonus but we didn’t get to use as much as we wanted because some days were cool and windy. Lots of pubs restaurants all nearby and short walk along each end N & S from the marina to other areas. Bus service is not great as not too many stop here. Estepona is 15 minutes away by car and is worth visiting. Only issue and its minor is the main shower, the installation of the shower head holder is very high up and would be better at least 18” lower as my wife has no chance of reaching it and I need to stand in the tub to reach the unit. All in all we would stay here again and many thanks to Richard with correspondence back and forward. Tom & Sheila , Edmonton , AB. Canada.

Beautiful Vista
This is an ideal location for short getaways. Beautiful views, large patio, air conditioning. The marina which is about 150 yards, has a wonderful selection of restaurants, bars and bars and restaurants :-). The beach is about 500 yards from the apartment. If you are looking for a "Lardy Da" restaurant , I highly recommend Oliver Twist in Salinas. Short stroll along the prom. Enjoy your stay, we did.

Perfect place for a vacation!
Wonderful aparment in charming Duquesa Port. The flat has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. The rooms are spacious, the terrasse just fantastic. the beach a few minutes away and restaurants, pubs and bar in the port. Richard answers quickly if you have questions and Karen, who meets you on arrival tells you everything you need to know about the private parking and the apartment.... I can only recommend this apartment!!!

This property is in prime location, perfect for all ages . Lovely restaurants .
Everything from start to finish was perfect ! The property is very homely and clean , smart tv , games etc , so not needing to go out if we choose not to , the most beautiful terrace / view . The marina is absolutely stunning with lots of lovely restaurants, lovely friendly little port , was just enough , and literally on the doorstep but at the sane time very quite at night . All facilities to cook, washing machine and even a bbq etc . We Will definitely be returning next year . Great location, super accommodation.
Superbly appointed apartment in a wonderful Port Town. Easy access from either Malaga or Gibraltar airports; a wide variety of bars and restaurants are all within walking distance of the apartment. Spacious patio with easy access to the private pool area. Comfortably sleeps four adults.

Sunny terrace was the best!
Location perfect. Apartment well-maintained and furnished. The owner Richard was very helpful in recommending restaurants - there is a large variety very close by. The outside space is wonderful, catching the sun all day long. If it were still available, we would certainly choose to stay here again on a return visit to the area.

Fabulous apartment in an ideal location.
We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this lovely apartment. We were very pleasantly surprised at the accommodation which was nicer than the website pictures. It had everything you would need for your stay. The terrace is amazingly huge, relatively private and catches the sun all day. The apartment is only 5 mins from the lovely beach and coastal path and 2 mins from the marina with its many bars and some very nice restaurants. We have tried to book for later in the year but it is such a lovely property it is fully booked for months ahead. We would love to go back sometime and would definitely recommend it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

mooi appartement , prachtig terras
super gelegen aan de haven , toplocatie , dicht bij strand. wel wat rumoerig , onder andere door de ondergelegen weg. terras prachtig. enige nadeel was dat de verwarming erg veel ( naar het leek niet al te schone lucht ) via de airco naar binnen moest blazen om het warm te krijgen , waardoor we beiden last kregen van de luchtwegen. over het algemeen wel een prima verblijf gehad !

Nos complace mucho que haya tenido una buena estadía con nosotros, sin embargo, lamento escuchar que la limpieza no fue de muy buen nivel, realmente apreciamos los comentarios, ¿sería posible enviarnos un mensaje con los detalles específicos para que podamos mejorar? nuestro régimen de limpieza? El control remoto del aire acondicionado debería haber sido reemplazado, hoy también estamos investigando por qué esto no sucedió. Esperamos darle la bienvenida nuevamente en el futuro.

El apartamento es tal como se anuncia. Todo pensado para disfrutar de la estancia. No se echa nada en falta. No le doy un cinco en ubicación, porque siendo su gran virtud, está próximo al puerto, playa y restaurantes, es su pequeño defecto. El ruido nocturno obliga a dormir con la ventana cerrada y el aire acondicionado. Por lo demás, para repetir.

En helt okey lägenhet med en fantastisk altan. Läget var bra. Dock behövs det förnyas en hel del gällande köksutrustningen, poslin mm. Tyvärr fick vi lämna lägenheten i förtid, åkte där ifrån den 18 mars (4 veckor för tidigt) pga Spanien i karantän!

Heerlijk verblijf vlakbij het strand en uitgaansgebied
De woning met dakterras is groot. Voldoende ruimte en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is zelfs Netflix. Alles is op loopafstand e toen wij er waren was het heerlijk warm ( 12-19 okt 2019 ) Voldoende horeca op loopafstand en een Lidll is ook in de buurt ( daarvoor heb je wel vervoer nodig ). Het winkeltje tegenover het appartement heeft overgens ook voldoende keus. Voor ons in het geheel een dikke 8.

Die Lage gut und die Terrasse gut,alles andere nicht gut.
Die Lage der Wohnung zum Strand und zum Hafen war gut.Die Wohnung war in die Jahre gekommen...Die Badezimmer waren unsauber,vorallem die Duschwannen in beiden sehr ekelig.Den Boden konnte man am 1.Tag ohne Schuhe nicht betreten.🙁Es gab lediglich einen alten Besen und einen alten Wischmop🙁Die Waschmaschinen ist von Ihnen verschimmelt,genau sowie einen alten Mülleimer in der Küche.Die Betten waren alt ,klein und im Elternschlafzimmer unmöglich mit zwei ausgewachsen Personen auf diesem Bett zuschlafen. Und überall Dreck ,Staub und in den Schränken die Hinterlassenschaften vom Vormieter. Ich würde diese Wohnung nicht mehr buchen.

It's rather strange when someone has a completely different view of something compared to everyone else, we got yet another 5 star review in the same week as this review, this is the first 2 star review we've ever received, for exactly the same apartment, we can only conclude they are a competitor that isn't as successful.
