Private tranquility
A beautiful property tucked away in the hillside. Completely private and excellent facilities. Travelled with our children (15,5 & 3) and our parents. We should have booked longer. Very hospitable owners with a great attention to detail. I would say having a car is essential as the local amenities can be a bit of a stretch on foot, especially if shopping etc. We will be back!

Relaxing Retreat on Costa del Sol
We couldn't have been happier with our stay! Jan and Barbara were lovely. Communication and check in was great. The property was away for privacy but close to the coast, grocery stores and restaurants. We traveled and used it as a home base but relaxed on the property as well. Lots of space and fun in and around the pool. We will have fond memories of this trip and would love to return! Thank you so much, Michelle & Kristine

Charming authentic villa
Jan & Barbara were amazing friendly hosts, food essentials (incl. Red & White wine, tea selection, fresh coffee & pop for the kids) and fresh baked croissants on arrival. Allowed us to check-in early. We all loved it. Its 10 min walk to supermarket on a gravel track which made it super rustic. The Port is a lovely 20 min walk. We all loved the super relaxed vibe, plenty of space and everything you need for entertainment. Would highly recommend, only improvement I would add is a bbq perhaps, to make use of terrace space, we were a family of 5 that likes walking, so we didnt hire a car = car is Not essential.

Fab property loads of room and well equipped in a quiet location perfect for our family. Barbara and Jan were welcoming and had provided with a welcome pack so we didn’t need to stress about breakfast the following day. Thanks for letting us stay!

A wonderful recharge the batteries holiday
The villa location is tranquil, serene, idyllic and beautiful, Barbara and Jan were very friendly, welcoming and supportive, yet we had total privacy too. We have had a glorious 2 weeks of recharging the batteries and basking in the sun by the pool. Perfect.

Relaxing retreat with beautiful views over the bay
We had a wonderful stay with our family relaxing in the villa with its private pool. It is ideally positioned with beautiful views over the bay in a peaceful location. A 20 minute walk / 5 min car ride to the Port of Duquesa where you find all types of restaurants to suit your taste. The hosts Jan and Barbara are very welcoming and on hand at the adjacent property if needed, but not intrusive. Would definitely be back again for the third time.

Perfect Family Holiday
2 young families enjoyed a great 2 weeks at the villa. Couldn’t ask for a better villa, nice pool, table tennis was a good addition, multiple places to relax or eat and a new bbq too! Jan was really helpful and on hand when needed even if just for advice on where to eat. The track leading up to the villa meant a car was necessary but meant the location felt more remote than it actually was. Great views too. I would highly recommend both the villa and the hosts. Thanks Barbara and Jan for our stay.

Very peaceful situation
Lovely clean villa. Great area as so peaceful and relaxing. Barbara was lovely and helpful. Stunning location with great views and a nice cooling breeze. Even though there isn't air con in every bedroom, because you're high up there's a cooling breeze through the window. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Stunning villa with great views
The elevated position of this villa provide stunning mountain and sea views. The outside space is very beautiful and well kept and the pool was great to keep the kids busy! The villa itself has everything you need and is very clean and tidy. What really sets this villa apart from the others is Barbara the owner. She's very kind and always happy to help, without being intrusive. It's no coincidence that she is mentioned in practically every review! Would recommend this villa.

Very private villa with stunning views
We stayed here with our daughter, son-in-law and 3 year old grandson. The villa was spotless on our arrival with everything you could possibly need. The pool was the warmest one we have had, the sun is on it all day. It was lovely to sit in the gazebo at night with a G&T, so relaxing and peaceful yet not too far to the Marina etc.

Beautiful views, peaceful and everything you need for a perfect holiday!
We stayed here (my husband, two young children, brother and parents) for seven days and we had a fantastic time. Barbara is amazing, so kind and helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. My children also loved Barbara and enjoyed talking to her, meeting her dog and horse! The villa has everything you need, very comfortable and in an amazing location, the views are stunning. You are close to the beach and the port so going out is easy but at the same time you could be in the middle of nowhere. A really beautiful spot and looked after so well by Barbara. Thank you!

Fabulous villa with lovely views of the countryside and the sea.
Beautiful villa set in the countryside, homely, clean, everything you could ever want from a villa holiday. Spacious grounds, lovely pool, great facilities. Barbara, the owner was very attentive and went out of her way to ensure we were well looked after. Our only regret was that we didn't hire a car, as you do need one. We would definitely return to this haven. Thank you Barbara for a lovely week.

Superbe villa, absolument fabuleuse!
L'hôte est particulièrement attentif à ce que vous ne manquiez de rien et très prévenant. Le jardin, les terrasses et la piscine sont des atouts majeurs de cette habitation. Se situe au milieu de la nature, très au calme, et pourtant très proche de magasins et de la digue. Je la recommande vivement, un petit coin de paradis!

Einfach WUNDERVOLL
Wir hatten das Glück, mit unseren zwei Familien 12 Tage in der Villa wohnen zu dürfen. Das Haus wird durch die Besitzer super gepflegt. Alles wurde außerordentlich sauber übergeben. Gab es mal ein Problem oder eine Frage, standen Barbara und Jan sofort zur Seite. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist sehr weitläufig auf die Berge und das Meer. Man ist völlig ungestört für sich und kann in Ruhe relaxen. Das Haus selbst verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer (für 5 Personen). Unser achtjähriger Sohn bewohnte das "Turmzimmer", welches man über eine Wendeltreppe erreicht, und war total begeistert. Direkt angebaut ist ein kleines Apartement für zwei weitere Personen und ggf. einem kleineren Kind mit eigener kleiner Küche und kleinem Bad (ein weiteres Doppelbett und ein kleines Bett) . Unsere anfängliche Skepsis bezüglich der Trennung von Apartment und Haus löste sich vor Ort in Nichts auf, beide Eingänge liegen direkt nebeneinander auf der Terrasse und bilden optisch eine Einheit. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Für die drei Jungs war der äußerst gepflegte Pool natürlich das Highlight. Der Pool wurde auch während unseres Aufenhaltes ständig gepflegt. Zur Lage : Der Weg zum Haus führt den letzten Kilometer über einen kleinen etwas abeteuerlich anmutenden Feldweg. Wenn man aber das Haus über die Auffahrt erreicht, erlebt man immer wieder einen richtigen "WOW"-Effekt. Das Haus verfügt über eine zweckmäßige Küche und einen großen Holzkohlegrill, Tischtennisplatte, WLAN und und und... Lage : La Duquesa ist ein nettes kleines Örtchen mit Hafen, insbesondere die kleinen Strandlokale (Chiringuitos) sind super. Der Strand ist ebenfalls sauber und gepflegt. Es war nicht überlaufen und von dem Trubel anderer Städte jenseits von Estepona bekommt man überhaupt nichts mit. Wir hatten Mitte Juli fast das Gefühl, wir wären in der Vorsaison dort. Die Villa eignet sich als Ausgangspunkt für - Ausflüge nach Gibraltar, Marbella, Malaga, Estepona (Märkte :-)), Ronda... - Flusswaderungen, Wanderungen und Canyoning ins Hinterland - Segelausflüge ab Estepona - Beachen -... Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen. Wir bedanken uns bei Jan und Barbara und empfehlen das Haus gerne weiter :-)
