Great location to explore the Upper Peninsula. Cabin was clean and comfortable for the 4 adults that stayed . We enjoyed the views of Indian Lake that were just steps away from the cabin, Kathy was very helpful with our stay and her restaurant recommendations were spot on. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay in Kathy’s cabin again.

Great place to stay !

Larry and Kathy were great hosts ! Cabin was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. Well thought out for families visiting. Kathy even thought of things we didn’t ! Very centrally located for nice day trips to enjoy the beautiful Upper Peninsula!

Great location, very clean and comfortable cabin and wonderful communication with host Kathy Winters

Very comfortable and cozy. Everything you can imagine is supplied from utensils, blankets, ice cube trays, games and puzzles and a nice view of Indian Lake. If you are looking for a place to stay in the upper peninsula I would suggest to stay here.

5 stars does not do it justice!

The house itself was cozy and clean but what sets this place apart was the level of kindness from the hosts.We went for a cold weekend of ice fishing and from when we first arrived we were treated as if we were neighbors. We will definitely be back!

The accommodations were perfect for exploring the area and taking day trips to nearby attractions. The kitchen is fully outfitted for eating in, you have use of the fire pit, grill, fish cleaning station, and kayaks! Kathy is a fantastic host and was easy to communicate with and had great tips to help us enjoy our stay.

Indian Lake gem

Larry and Kathy, the hosts, are friendly, lovely people who have mad the cabin a home away from home. This is our second time at this property and I would recommend it to others.

AMAZING place to stay, great location, beautiful views, very welcoming owners

My Husband and I decided to spend the weekend at this cabin with our 3 girls and we absolutely loved it!! The cabin had everything we could need, was clean, spacious and the views were breathtaking. The owners really go above and beyond to be sure their guests are taken care of and it was wonderful meeting them. We are already looking into when we can go back!!

Great stay

Our hosts, Kathy and Larry, were so accommodating. They provided great nearby hiking locations, hosted a bonfire as we watched the sunset and gave us great ideas for local dining. The cottage was very clean, beautifully furnished, and we enjoyed having our coffee with a view of the beautiful lake. Our stay was everything we expected and more.

Comfortable stay

Nice base of operations for our UP venture. Able to visit many of the sites and yet enjoyed the time at the cottage. Nice campfire by the lake. Weather was great and very few bugs. Great Lake view and comfortable accommodations. Definitely would return.

Great scenery

We enjoyed this cabin very much. The view was great, sitting by the lake was refreshing and peaceful. We had some local family come over to eat dinner and the space was comfortable! Will likely come again in the next couple of years

Ice fishing 2025

Fantastic location. We had 5 guys ice fishing for a week. Plenty of room to relax and stretch out. Very clean and well taken care of. Hosts Kathy and Larry are the best. They go the extra mile to make sure your stay is everything you want. We definitely recommend the property for year round enjoyment. We were able to walk to our ice shack with no problems as access to the lake is right outside your door. Thank you again to Kathy and Larry. See you soon.enjoyment recommend

Birthday retreat in the great outdoors!

Just what we were looking for! Spring in the UP didn’t disappoint. Beautiful weather and area for hiking, exploring, fishing and chilling by the bonfire. What a cozy place right on the water and we got to bring our fur babies too. Kathy and Larry are so accommodating, we were treated like family and had everything we needed. Love the location, we will definitely be back.

Peaceful UP cottage

This cottage is one half of a duplex and had everything we needed. The Sunset View resort has 6 or so units with a shared beach and fire pit along with kayaks and a dock. We enjoyed the cleanliness and peace at this cottage. The drive into Manistique is only about 10 minutes so conevebient for necessities.

We booked this cabin for a week long ice fishing trip. We had no complaints about our stay with Kathy. Great location, right in the middle of all the action of the UP. Tons of lakes in the area to fish, as well as LBDN. We will most definitely try to get back up here!
