Nice spot to get an extra night at the beach when everything was booked. Clean, nice pool, quiet, HOT water. Beds are really soft. Wish there was some munchies for kids breakfast and more than plain sugar for a cup of morning coffee but McDonald’s is right down the road.

The kind and friendly staff welcomed us after a long drive including some flooded roads. There was also flooding in some parts of Manteo and the hotel parking lot due to unprecedented amounts of rain in previous days. I’m sure they had concerns of their own regarding the flooding, but they answered every question and made sure we had what we needed. Our rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The car charging stations were working well. I can also recommend the food and service at the restaurant onsite, Fire Tender.

We arrived on Saturday unfortunately dealing with a family emergency. The people at the front desk were compassionate and friendly and asked if there was anything they could do for us. The rooms were clean and spacious. It's a very old property that the current company that owns it are making the best they are able. First time using a salt water pool-- interesting. We travel to various towns in the OBX several times a year and this hotel is on our short list of places we will consider returning in the future!

It was so clean and bright inside! It made me feel happy even though it was rainy outside and a bit gloomy. Loved the attached restaurant with the amazing pizza! I walked just 13 minutes to get to downtown Manteo and that was a lovely walk. Close to sights like the aquarium and Festival Park. Staff was super helpful too!

It is a beautiful property and the staff were great. The only hiccup was our room, We walked in and it was clean but dated and the chair was old, worn and stained. We also had handprints on the wall and a red stain on the rug. The A/C was very loud when it started up. We did inform the manager and he was very apologetic and helpful and gave us complementary breakfast for the whole time we were there. There is a beautiful garden to walk around in. They have a pool and a dog park area for your dog. All in all a beautiful place.

Very old hotel that has been refurbished. Staff is absolutely useless. Nice pool but should be resurfaced. Restaurant is inedible- really bad and also very dirty, dust everywhere. Dog area is great but they never put out pottee bags or empty the can that contains the dog pottee. Most employees barely speak English. Rooms are clean and nice.
