Welcome to The Water's Edge Cabin!
Please note:
During the peak summer season (June11 -August 23) we book by the week, typically from Friday to Friday.
We now also offer a PONTOON, KAYAK, and CANOE rental right at our dock!
We can accommodate small groups for that retreat or girl’s getaway you've been planning, bring the family for vacation, or make it a second honeymoon with just the two of you. Nice quiet location 55 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
Maple Lake boasts over 800 acres of great fishing where you can enjoy paddling, boating, skiing, and swimming.
Our remodeled 3 bedroom, 1 ½ bath lake home has 2 gas fireplaces in 2 separate living rooms. We have a gorgeous knotty pine bunk house with ½ bath that sleeps 2 and provides your own private retreat. There is an additional fee for the use of the bunkhouse, but larger groups who choose this option feel the extra space is well worth it. Please ask for specifics with your reservation request.
The eat-in kitchen connects to our massive upper deck (with gazebo) so BBQ’s are a breeze. (Please note, one bedroom is considered non conforming as it has no window and is in the lower level, but it is near a walk out sliding door)
The downstairs fireplace room has a Foosball table and walks out to our lower deck with ample seating right over the lake. A fire ring and firewood, overlooking the lake is great for roasting marshmallows and listening to loon calls.
Included are a washer and dryer and air conditioning.

Nearby are the charming towns of Annandale, Monticello, and Buffalo with antique stores, bowling, premier golfing, restaurants, shops, and other treasures. The Albertville Outlet Mall and Cabellas are about 20-25 minutes away.
See a TWINS, VIKINGS, TIMBERWOLVES, WILD or GOPHER GAME in downtown Minneapolis/St. Paul. The Mall of America is just over an hour away.

Lovely weekend getaway
My friends and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. We loved the outdoor campfire, waking up early to watch the sunrise, playing foosball, and just getting an escape from the city. The place accommodated us beautifully and everything was easy!

Beautiful sunrises!!!
We had a nice relaxing visit and were up each morning to watch the magnificent sunrises and geese flocks ,Kids (ages 4 and 6) loved to fish and play on the dock, was very disappointed that it was being dismantled and not left for our whole paid stay though because it was the bright spot for the kids. They loved to sit on the bench and watch for the little minnows and learn to cast. We were out at exactly 10am and left the place as clean and good as we could. Usually we vacumn cabins before we leave, we only could sweep. Making our beds with clean sheets upon leaving was different, most hosts prefer that their cleaning service does this to ensure inspection. Loved looking out the kitchen window as I was cooking...that beautiful tree with the brilliant yellow leaves against the lovely blue lake was breathtaking!

Relaxing and quiet
We stayed here after camping at the BWCA for four nights. It was wonderful to have all the comforts of home in a pretty setting. The lake was impressively clear and full of great fish to catch. We paddled around the lake with the hosts rental boats and had a great time.
