This was such a great house! The property is beautiful. Running stream, plenty of room inside and out, hot tub, etc. Perfect place for couples or families to relax and get away from the hassle of life.
We had a wonderful time enjoying this property and the accommodations! Spacious, comfortable and clean. We wished we had more time to explore. Looking forward to booking again in the future!
We loved the location - close to 2 ski resorts, can walk to several hiking trails - the sound of the babbling stream, the outdoor fire pit, the hot tub, and lots of firewood available.
Was fine for a group of 7 but not sure how it would be with more people. The house needs some TLC but it had everything we needed.
This property was a great fit for my extended family that included 8 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of room for everyone in the house and we greatly enjoyed the nearby lake/park as well as the hot tub on site.
David was great with communication and answered the many questions we had.
We would definitely recommend this house for large parties looking for a stay in the Catskills.
The house is nice and the beds were comfortable. Our kids were able to enjoy making S'more around the fire pit. We wish we stay an extra day so that we can explore more around the area. The host was also great! He quickly answered our questions! We would definitely be back again!
The setting and outside amenities were very well done. We enjoyed the hot tub, firepit, and the beautiful grounds. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have slept on and the bedding was nice. The inside could use a little TLC, but had most of what we needed. The owner was very responsive when we had questions or needed assistance with something on the property.
We are a group of 30-40 somethings and had a great time here. The property is lovely, we are all pool players and for a short term rental table it’s in decent condition…the hot tub is a nice way to end the day. Onsite laundry isn’t a thing, but we were only there for a long weekend so it didn’t bother us. The host was communicative when the hot tub wasn’t heating up, and got it fixed early the next day. We would come again.
My friends and I were in the area for a wedding weekend. The wedding and other activities were all in tannersville and east Jewett area so this location was perfect for us . The house was a great set up for a group of 2 couples and 2 singles because every room group had a big bed and its own full bath. In other words no one got stuck with a kid room and no room group had to share a bathroom! Landscaping is charming country style . Home decor was rustic and lived in so we didn’t worry about anything being too precious, and it was nice to be able to bring my little dog. The 10 min walk thru the woods to a nearby swimming lake was a highlight , there are also several hiking trails nearby .

Typical Ski House, short on safety
I selected this house because it's located between Windham and Hunter skiing and the fact it had 5 bedrooms - more than enough for my 3 three children and their children. The beds were comfortable, but only one of the 5 bedrooms had a smoke detector. As such we dared not to use the wood burning stove with broken doors - completely unsafe for adults and children. The hot tub took 20 hours to get hot and the hot water for showers was insufficent for 8 adults. Overall, very disappointing experiance.

Birthday weekend
Brought my family and some friends to stay for weekend for daughter’s belated birthday. The house was cozy. A little rustic. Very much like the cabins at lake Taghkanic. Basic decor and nothing too expensive, which I appreciate. Particularly with a house that sleeps that many and when many of them are young adults, prone to being messy. There is a lake but you either have to drive to it to or cut through the woods on foot, as it is at a local town park. The jacuzzi was a great draw. And the pool tournaments kept the household happy. This place is definitely my pace and I would come back again. Owner was open to any suggestions, which I forwarded to him. There were a few but very simple “fixes”. I would bring extra towels for jacuzzi and if you are there in warm enough clime to swim at park. Wifi very decent for rural setting. Only one bedroom has its own tv. But that’s fine because there is one in the common area. If one needs to watch tv. Thanks for the memories!

It was okay!
Location was great! Listing should be corrected though as two 2 bedrooms did not have air conditioning and we were asked not to use the washing machine a few days before arrival. The electrical system may need to be upgraded as the power flickered quite often. We were unable
to play pool as the cue sticks didn’t have tips. Several of us ended up with flea bites too without going into the woods. We also had to pay to refill the grill’s propane tank. Finally the house may have a carpenter ant problem as they were everywhere in the house. A refund of the $21.60 for the propane would be great. The bathroom sinks all had toothpaste caps in the drains. There is black mold in the bathroom next to pool table room. The dining room table needs to be seriously cleaned between leaves. One air conditioner caused the circuit breakers to blow
Skiing, Hot Tubbin, & Games — Towels and Utensils??
Pros: Met all our needs — plenty of room for hanging out with family. Kids and adults alike had fun together. Hot tub was a highlight for all. Situated perfectly to keep an eye on kids from the inside while they splashed around (obviously on a cooler temp). Teenager watched the littles while the adults enjoyed it later in the day. Less than 20 mins to Hunter Mtn. We skiied both days.
Beds were comfortable! Enough space for three families. 6 adults + a girl cousin room + boy cousin room. Two downstairs rooms were drafty but we enjoyed the chill for sleeping. Might be hot in the summer??
Coffee maker and grinder were functional and put to good use.
Cons: Only 5 towels for everyone! We made do with one towel per family but no one communicated with us in advance about this inconvenience. When I reached out they said the previous guests had ruined many towels. Would have been nice to let us know. Hopefully they inform the next guests! The kitchen is sparsely stocked. Not enough utensils by a long shot. We had to wash forks/spoons regularly to eat meals. Despite these “first world problems” we had a great time and would recommend this house. The owner/property manager did communicate with us about the towels but no solution was offered, only an apology.

Hidden Treasure
Really nice place great location no traffic , grass was extremely high upon arrival, owner was prompt to get it taking care , seen lots of wildlife , I would come back in the future .
Nice big place with great amenities -- fire pit, hot tub and pool table. We only stayed done night but would visit again and look forward to taking advantage of all they have to offer. Close to skiing too which is why we stayed to begin with.
One night for our family of 10, beds were clean and comfortable, plenty of space, hot tub was enjoyed! If you enjoy rustic in the woods this is the place!
This was a perfect place for our annual family reunion weekend. Spacious rooms (with comfy beds), a great setup for grilling, and driving distance from some beautiful hikes. The pool table was an extra fun bonus!

The common area is nice and the bedrooms are nice because they have their own individual bathrooms. The biggest complaint is the cleanliness of the house. The kitchen is pretty gross. The showers are also not super clean. The basement smells very mildewy. Also make sure you write down the door code and wifi before you get there because there is no cell service at all and no welcome book to see the wifi password when you get there.

Pretty good
Some of the interior was a bit rundown, but the location and amenities made up for it. Be sure to get your check in information before getting close to the location as cell service is minimal in the mountains.
We enjoyed our stay here however found some of the amenities either missing or short especially if you have a party of 12 for more than just a few days. Owner was prompt in his communications and promised to have those things corrected. Hike to Kaaterskill Falls is worth it!
Rented for my wife’s birthday. We have 5 couples, and 3 children (6y, 18mo, & 7mo) and it was plenty of space! All king beds! Fire pit was a huge hit! It’s just outside in baby monitor range. Grill was great and kitchen had what we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. It was just what we needed, a space to get out of the city and enjoy good company while the kids were asleep. Will definitely book again with more time to visit the lake, a short lovely walk through the woods.
This home was spacious, very clean, super comfortable new beds , nice linens and towels - made our small reunion of family thoroughly enjoyable. The host was super welcoming and responsive as well! We would definitely book again.
