My family had a great time at your home. It’s a gorgeous space and very comfortable. We felt right at home with all the little amenities and attention to detail. Great family getaway!

We loved this home on the river. There are so many toys/activities just at the home that one could stay here and never leave the property. However, we did visit many attractions nearby--from old town Florence to the beach and sand dunes, the casino and a hike at Sweet Creek. There was fishing and clamming and kayaking and floating. Coffee/drinks on the deck, air hockey and a nap in the hammock was a favorite of the young adults. The road noise is a thing, but it was clearly noted in the property description and once you get your attention to the river, it's not that bad. Highly recommend, grazie mille!

River retreat of my dreams.

This place is just peace embodied. The water and the trees really draw you in and settle all the travel anxiety. I spent as much time on the dock, reading, eating, sunbathing and listening to the birds. It was difficult to leave but I left feeling so much better. I can’t wait to go back!

Amazing location!

This is an amazing location! Peaceful, comfortable, and close enough to all the coast has to offer. Beds were very comfortable, great amenities, and kayaks were a bonus. If you’re used to Oregon weather, the lack of air conditioning isn’t really an issue (just close the blinds during the day to keep out the sun, and open the windows in the evening to cool it down). The house water is not pleasant- knew this going in and brought drinking water. It really should not stop you from staying here. We will be back!

Our big hang up with the property is how the water smells and the lighting in the kitchen needs to be brighter. Other than that we did enjoy our time.

Great house and beautiful space

The house was really perfect for teens. We played on the game room and on the dock for house. Everything was amazing. The only thing to consider is this is right on the road and car traffic is pretty loud. I slept fine at night but woke up early every morning when the traffic started. I would still have stayed here...I just think it's worth mentioning for really light sleepers. They provide a sound machine. Otherwise this is an amazing property and a ton of fun.

Great for recreation

Good layout for our family but one teen preferred to crash in living room for more space. Loved the basement ping pong & air hockey tables & availability of kayaks to use. Great halfway spot bw Eugene & Florence. Beds were ok. We definitely needed the tower fans provided on first night w 95 degree temps. Overall, a good property but noise from highway is loud and iron levels in shower water & laundry were unexpected drawbacks.

An American Bald Eagle was our neighbor!

What a beautiful spot! Right on the water. We observed ducks, otters and a number of birds as well as numerous visits from an American Bald Eagle. As mentioned in listing there is some highway noise but we were fine. The view is great. The PM was good with communication and helpful as needed. The location was nice as we travelled from Eugene and then along the coast of Oregon. The house was very well kept. No (few) overhead lights but there are lamps. Great place! Thanks! We would stay here again.

Short Peaceful Stay

My son and I recently stayed at the Siuslaw River House while picking him up from the University of Oregon. The house is in a convenient location between Eugene and Florence and has the advantage of not being in the middle of either. Despite being "right off the road", the house's outwardly facing aspect is upon and across the river to the mountains and trees beyond. Through almost every window you see the river flowing in different colors, as the tide ebbs and flows, flora and fauna all around playing their peaceful music as the waters calm swiftly draws you in. The house is well appointed and comfortable with extra amenities for all (ample reading spots, soaking tub, kayaks, crab pots, ping pong, air hockey, etc...). Would return and/or recommend highly.

nice little getaway

definitely a nice little getaway, small town and for those who are a little more lowkey. i love nature and i’m okay with just sitting in front of the water watching the view listening to the birds chirping. the house is right off the main road which was a little odd but it had nice quiet moments with no traffic. definitely a place i would go to with cooler weather as they have no ac and only have three fans, unless you bring your own. highest temperature was in the high 80s and the house at times was just as warm. was nicer when it was early and later where the temperatures dropped. great views, loved having our own private doc, great views from the porch. great spot to just relax and kind of do nothing. if you’re into the dunes it’s a great place to visit other than that not much else to do

Nice Girls Getaway

Overall, I’m happy with our weekend stay! The property was very clean, expect we did have a problem with some dead flies in one corner of the dining room. Not sure where they came from, but we didn’t experience any issues with live ones buzzing around. The property is well stocked with kitchen essentials, comfy furniture, games, and extras like fans/blankets/etc. While the location is beautiful, it is on a main Hwy so of course there was some road noise, but I sleep with white noise and it never bothered me. The back of the house feels more secluded and we absolutely loved the hammock chairs looking out over the river. I could definitely see myself coming back sometime!

Just stayed for nine nights Jan 2023

Facts first then my opinion. Right on the Siuslaw river. Also right on the main highway. Everything in the home seemed to work. A lot of coffee and tea and espresso machines in kitchen. There was all of the things pictured in the ad in the lower level, like kayaks, crab traps, ping pong table. Can you hear the traffic most of the time? Yes Now opinion. River view beautiful. Kitchen has most every thing needed to cook anything. Master bedroom nice with great view and not on the Highway side of home. Bed very comfortable. Wife and I could sleep well with doors to both bedrooms closed and the white sound machine on. Hall bath with the shower has no heat. Weather was sunny but cold, that shower bathroom was really cold. House needs a real vacuum cleaner. The Swiffer to clean the floors can't be used on the carpet in living room and there were no wet clothes for the thing. Parking was adequate but the water filter? Softener? in the garage flushes every night? every other night? and it keeps the front of house wet and also leaks into the garage and game room on ground level. There is always a puddle inside of the lower entrance door. I clean it up, its back the next morning. Overall we enjoyed being on the river and so close to the ocean. Didn't use the things in garage but did have fun playing ping pong and air hockey. We would consider renting again.
