  • Set among lush, tranquil gardens, Tasman Hideaway is a 4-bedroom 3-bathroom Marahau holiday home with Wi-Fi. Perfect for a secluded retreat, this spacious house enjoys ample indoor/outdoor living space just minutes from the waterfront, and 800m away from the start of the Abel Tasman Walking track and the Park Cafe!

    This 2 storey Marahau holiday home includes relaxed open plan living upstairs, with a wood-burning fireplace for toasty winter ambience. For summer living at its finest, relax on the deck, soak up the sun, and admire the tranquil garden scenery! The BBQ adds a lovely touch for dining al fresco with friends and family.

    Downstairs at this Marahau accommodation, bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a queen bed. Upstairs bedrooms 4 and 5 also have a queen bed each. To complete your spacious holiday set up, there are 2 bathrooms downstairs, plus a third situated upstairs.

    You will feel worlds away at this character haven - get lost among the gardens and enjoy doing nothing at all, or head down to the water for days of activities. The Sprig N Fern licensed cafe is a great option for dining out, or visit the beach, waterfront, and boat ramp. There are lots of adventure activities to enjoy including, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, kite surfing, or catching a water taxi to one of the many parts of the Abel Tasman National Park walking tracks. Plus, you are approximately 20 minutes from Motueka, and wineries are around a half hour drive away.

Fantastic stay in Marahau, close to the Abel Tasman National Park

Would definitely recommend this lovely place, with it being very handy to the Abel Tasman National Park. We had a fantastic stay - a beautiful house, wonderfully laid out to suit a number of people to stay, with everything you would need, plus more. So relaxing and quiet. I would love to stay again. Cathy

Fantastic property and location.

Fantastic property and location. Would have liked to have seen an extra towel when paying for linen for 4 nights and perhaps more and unused soap/toiletries would have been a nice touch, though if we’d been a group of 6 it would have worked out as better value. Also, note no clear instructions for cleaning and rubbish although Claire was very helpful in answering our questions and welcomed us to the lovely home with the fire on which was great.

This is a wonderful huge house where everyone finds a lovely spot to relax, inside or even outside on the wonderful terrace with lovely views to the sea and the mountains and the sheeps and horses around. The kitchen is well- equipped and it's fun to cook there even for a larger group. You can reach the start of the Abel Tasman track and the Park Cafe by walking- we really recommend this house- it's something special!

A wonderful, private location with views of Abel Tasman Park. We enjoyed walking around the property, visiting the chickens, and a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the views. The inside is a little bit funky and unique, and could use some updating, but we really enjoyed our stay there!

Very peaceful location. Excellent position within walking distance of start of Abel Tasman track. Comfortable and spacious house. Very clean and well looked after.
